I think Freo at $ 5.50 would be far more attractive for a few bucks for those who dont mind having a quiet flutter ;)

You would be much better served giving the money to charity as opposed to betting on Freo.

Freo have very little chance of winning.

Anythings possible I suppose.

Yeah I agree. There is no way Macca or Cunningham would make the starting 18 of our side if we want to be true premiership contender.

By the way Kenny, shouldn't you be asleep now? You've gotta be at uni by 8:00am tommorrow :p ;)

We wont be a genuine premiership contender until Macca is not in our best/starting 22. For all his guts and hard running which I admire he is very slack defensively and has shocking disposal and decision making.

I expect an argument from the Macca fan club but I've watched him closely for years and thats MY opinion

Yeah, I'd have to agree. Same goes for Walker in my opinion. Some may disagree but I really think we have a few players that hold us back.

Wont disagree with you here. This IS the make or break season for him.

Is there some sort of misunderstanding here? This is exactly what I was saying in my initial post:

I know I could have structured the sentence differently so that it was easier to understand, but I'll edit it for you.

Perhaps you realised the point I was trying to make and was agreeing with me, but by the syntax of your post I didn't think that this was the case.

Yes |D_J^B_J| (how do you pronounce that) I was re-iterating your point but also adding my thoughts as to why.

I did get your point!

Subiaco and West Perth will play a practice match at Subiaco oval tomorrow night after receiving a bye for round one of the WAFL fixtures. This provides an excellent opportunity for key Dockers players returning from injury to prepare for their game against Adelaide next weekend.

Steven Koops and Justin Longmuir will line up for West Perth, while team mate Shane Parker will play for Subiaco, possibly matching up on Longmuir.

The Dockers last met Adelaide in round 22 at Subiaco Oval where they were defeated by 40 points. Andrew McLeod dominated the midfield with 35 possessions and two goals, so it will be crucial for the Dockers to find a suitable opponent this time around.

Koops played very well in that game getting 19 touches, Longmuir had 10, and Parker 7. The Dockers will be glad to see them return, with Koops and Parker providing experience in defence and more options for Chris Connolly when considering the Carey factor. Longmuir kicked 36 goals last year and will contribute well to a potent Docker’s forward line.

The game will also be a milestone for Shane Parker who reaches 150 games, the first of any Docker to do so after Dale Kickett retired on a total of 135. He remains the second highest game player for Fremantle.

A full report on the Docker’s form during the practice match will be available on FootyGoss tomorrow night.

Good news for sure. Will be interesting to see how they go.

So I gather if JLo & Parker get through their games that they will be lining up for round 1. How about McPharlin?

It's not a given as the coaching staff are still to asses their fitness. They have worries about soft tissue injuries as they are short on match practice.

That said I have my fingers and all extraneous appendages crossed

I believe Mcpharlin will get a run with the sharks reserves as the league isn't playing. Not sure on that one though

McPharlin will be playing this weekend.

Kenny_01, can you tell me who else will be available for selection out of the injured/underdone players.

Cheers

I think nearly everyone will available except Croad (suspension). Longmuir, Koops, Siegert, McPharlin and Parker are underdone but will be playing in the WAFL this week and if not, then next week (unless of course they get selected for Rd. 1).

But I doubt Koops will play, don't really think Longmuir will and McPharlin and Parker are probably 50/50.

We should have a full squad to choose from by Rd 3 though which is good.

Parker & Koops have been ruled out from WAFL action tomorrow.
I gather that makes them very doubtful for round 1 action against the Crows.

OK Guys this is my team
B- Haddrill , Jones , Hayden
HB - Grover , Polak , Woods
C - Carr , Cook , Headland
HF - Cunningham , Pavlich , Browne
F - Farmer , Sandilands , Medhurst
R- Simmonds , Hasleby , Bell
Int- Haines ,Walker , T.Longmuir , McManus

Emer - Thornton , Toia , Schammer.

-------------------------------------------------------
Injury List /not considered
Croad ( Susp ) , Waterhouse ( More Time ) , J.Longmuir( OK For rnd 2) , Parker ( Ok for Rnd 2 ), McPharlane ( Should Be Ok for rnd 2-3 ), Seigert ( Knee ) , Koops ( Shoulder) , Doswell , Edcumbe , Crowley

In a nutshell , Dockers Defence will be stretched without Paker and McPharlane , Freo will have to go in with a taller Defence to combat Adelaides 3 Bigs. Pavlich I have the hunch will have no option but to go and play CHF. The loss of Croad & Longmuir hurts us

I thinks this will be the team nowexcept I feel Byron Schammer will be there.
