Good to see Tyson Slattery will play his first AFL game. 
But at Full Back? Isn't he a bit small to line up on either Walker or Tippett
Also really dissapointed to not see Williams or Dempsey in the team.

The Lonergan and H.Slattery situation still perplexes me TBH.

I suppose i dont mind it, just cant see how lonergan and slattery keep their spots. I think williams is better than lonergan and gives us more options if hurley has to go back and i feel we are missing a bit of zip without dempsey or atkinson..but time will tell. Im pleased for t.slattery, hope he can have a greater impact than his namesake.

But at Full Back? Isn't he a bit small to line up on either Walker or Tippett
Hes a couple cm shorter than walker and around 5kg lighter so big challenge, hooker to tippet is a good match up.

Very relieved to see Reimers back. Under-rated (not by himself).
Quinn to his credit played the best game i've ever seen him play v Nth Ballarat at Windy Hill a couple of weeks back, so he is being rewarded...

yeah Hooker to Tippett..Tippett just kicked a lazy 7 on him last year. and that was down here.
Really don't like the omission of Atkinson. Where's our dash off the backline?
NLM T.Slatts Hocking McVeigh Hooker Quinn are named as our starting 6. I can see this getting really ugly...I'd make 2 late omissions, Houli and Dempsey back in for Quinn and Lonergan

No major surprises in selection.
Thought that T.Slattery and Reimers were locks to return and the club must think Quinn is best of the rookies.
Not overly surprised that Atkinson was dropped as he was defensively shaky against the Hawks and could have been punished more severely on the score board.
Lonergan played his best game against the Hawks - although he was lucky to be in the team previously.

Certainly has a bit of a different feel about the side with no dempsey, atko, fletch. Some of the biggest rage has come from dempsey and atko not being accountable in defense so we will see if we can keep adelaide to a low score without them.
Would have liked houli in for lonergan.
Certainly a lot of kids who can kick a goal in the side. Im counting 15-16 that i could reasonably expect a goal out of on any given night so really if we can't kick a winning score then we would have leaked a shite load.
Quinn will be interesting. His skills have improved out of sight so hopefully he can maintain his composure and contribute well.
Looking forward to a big win though its going to be tough interstate and hard to predict which way this will go!

worst selection ever. can't believe half back flanks of mcveigh and quinn over dempsey and dyson. this team looks yuk, season 2010 another failure.

Hooker was playing back-up ruck that game as well as key defender. Only around 3-4 of those goals were kicked on him.

lonergan is just there to give the members hope that they will get a game. if you spud it up all the time and have a terrible footy build you are still a chance to get a game at the bombers.
I'll be extremely quick to judge Quinn. I'll give him a go... but quick to judge.
Also, we've lost 2 tall defenders and we bring in smalls to replace them, wtf (height between Pears and Quinn/Slattery mightn't be much but size is)??? Are we that light on for tall back-ups?
