N Ablett did go well last week - better than KK in my opinion.

But my point was that if ever KK would be recalled, it would be a week that two of our key forwards from last game are unavailable and he has just come off six goals in the magoos (irrespective of who it was against).

That IS the case, yet he still can't get even on the extended bench, therefore, his career as a Cat is OVER.

By the way, disappointing to see Dog named on the ground - therefore likely to be retained. I would have liked to see Kelly, Dog and Byrnes/D Johnson miss out, but I have a feeling its more likely to be Kelly, Byrnes and possibly Stokes. I can't see Blake missing out - would leave us with only one tall forward, one ruckman and one Ottens (a bit of both).

Whats are some of the important matchups fellas?

Would assume Scarlett to go to Bradshaw? Harley to the other big forward? Merrett listed at CHF, although may play closer to goal (since may get a little lost at beyond the 50) and will go into the ruck at some stage, with maybe Brennan, Keating or even Michael moving forward.

At the other end, guessing that Michael to Ottens when his there, and Roe to Playfair. Will Henry play at CHF all game or will they mix and match. Are there other options there? Probably Copeland to go to Chapman, think he did quite well on him last time till he hurt himself.

Other key matchups? Excuse my ignorance of the Geelongs list. Interested to here your thoughts.

Cheers, heard some good things about him, although havent seen him in action many times, looks a likely sort. Big unit too IIRC.

Well thank god they are making KK work the hard way to get back in.

KK will stay on the list IMO. We need back up for next year and then he will be traded.

Not sure if he was ever going to miss that long. He had a test this week as I understand it and came up ok. Has been listed, but as a hypothetical if he didn't come up, I don't think we would have many options. Merrett maybe , or even Bradshaw may go to him if it come to that.

I know Tenace and Brynes aren't favourites, but I think we should stick with them for the rest of the year. Problem has been with these guys is that they haven't been given a chance to settle and they have what we need to play the "break the lines" game - pace. five games without going up and down to ressies will give us a chance to check whether their application and ball skills are up to it.

Byrnes getting a recall after his performance in the VFL was a joke. Perhaps it wasn't only sportinglife that mistook him for Byrne! He better not play or we are breeding another Kelly.

I really hope that Prismall gets a go. I haven't seen much, being in Canberra cuts off that sort of thing, but from what my mates in Geelong have been saying about him, he gets my nod.

They don't give up number 32 to a crap player. He has a big heart, and can get in packs, which is what we need.

Can't see DJ going, the back half play so well with him in the lineup. Kelly, Mackey and SJ do not deserve their spot. Get rid of them.

IMO KK will probably be gone and we will get a small player and maybe a last round draft pick for him in return. Hope a few clubs are interested, then we can get something in return.
