Re: Team v Carlton

Chris 25 will be happy ;) Hinkley is playing....

Would think the bench would be:
Gilmore, Ibbo, Dodd, Grover (if Grover pulls up lame due to that corky then Keplar)

Why are we persisiting with Hinkley.

He is horrible. Pearce or Walters would have been much better options, hell why not play Ruffles?

Happy is one way to describe it. :D

Expect Hinkley to come out firing and to feature in the votes this week. Will be given a job to show off his new found tagging skills, while will no doubt have an impact going forward too. Will have everyone asking where has been this year after this weekend. :)

Ill give that a amen. Ruffles is being flat out robbed. Three times the player Hinkley is and ever will be

Except he weighs about 2 kgs, and they are both completely different players  I think Hinkley could still be something

Actually I'm all for giving the dregs a go in these dire needs, we might find that there is a player in 1 or 2 of them.... I hope :(

Looks like the selectors over at Carlton have had a bit of an over-reaction to last week in my opinion. Looking at there team though, Grover might be needed this week.

Fevola, O'hAilpin and Fisher will all play as permanent forwards. While Kreuzer will also spend some time up forward. So I'd imagine we will need Grover, the only other scenario would be to bring in Bradley to play on Kreuzer. But I can't see that happening.

Tarrant - Fevola
Grover - O'hAilpin (can just imagine the fights...)
McPharlin - Kreuzer
Broughton - Fisher
Suban - Garlett (speed might be the problem, but we should actually give Suban an opponent this week)
Duffield - Houlihan (expose his serious lack of defensive skills)

Could Dodd be one to miss out this week? I think Grover, Ibbo and Gilmore will all play this week. And I'd imagine we will go in with one of Murphy/Campbell/Bradley.

He rooted your sister?

That wasn't supposed to sound negative towards Suban. I want him to have a job to do, he hasn't had that for the past few weeks. He seems like the type of guy who plays better when he has a certain role. I think we'll see the best of him, if he has a direct opponent. Plus it will give him someone to fight with. :thumbsu:

Maybe I should stop mentioning Suban though, whenever I do it seems to come off in a negative way.

Thanks Mrs Hinkley:thumbsu:

I for one am puzzled by these selections. Thought Ruffles was a monty & we must give Drum a chance at some point unless he really is no longer required.
Walters I understand missing as he & Frodo are playing the same sort of role but I would have though Pearce would get another game, perhaps he's still sore and needs a light run in the WAFL.
But honestly Murphy?
Weird.

Harsh, harsh, harsh on Hinkley. He's 20 years old, and has played 11 games. Whaddya expect?

He's developing a bit of size and is bloody quick. We recruited him when we all and sundry were baying for more speed.

He just needs to get more football into him whether at WAFL or AFL level. By contrast, Matty de Boer is a year older, Broughton nearly 3 years older.

Good if Walters could come in but I reckon he just doesn't have the tank to play AFL at this point.

garlett goes missing for at least 3 quarters every game. Suban will have a pretty good game if he's on garlett

The funny thing is. Houlihan has been playiing mainly as a defensive HFFer. beat Fisher when we played saints. will be a matchup to watch.

De Boer is only 19 :)

Clancee may not be 100% aswell.

Nah dont Chris, its kinda funny the reactions you get. It just come accross as you are a Suban hater.
I have however pondered if Suban was your buddy would you give him as much love as Hinkers? Just a question.... :p

I think if Gilmore plays we wont need Bradley as we have Clarke as the back up ruckman, or Gilmore (who has been serviceable in that role b4) to fill that positon. And on a side note Gilmore gets both feet up off the ground when he jumps unlike Big Keps who struggles to get the knuckles up ;).

So does that mean Gimore plays of half back and Hinkers get's his tagging role?
Ibbo to Judd
Dodd to someone who wont K him TFO
Campbell up forward
