Dids for sub, you can see he isn't quite there yet so bring him on late in the 3rd quarter and let him have his head. The sting will have gone out of the game and players will be looking for the siren, the perfect time for a 3 goal 5 minute burst :D

I'll nominate a sub from left field, BJ, we have incredible depth in the backline, and he can play as a mid, 'if' we lose someone he can cover everyone bar a KP, we know he can hit the ground running when he doesn't play for a while so it wont hurt his GF form, could give us a full game to look at Blair and Dids (who ever plays best gets the GF gig) not saying it's going to happen but it might.

I don't think naming someone as a sub means people hate that player, after all someone has to be the sub, its not like we get to play all 22 players without naming one.

I think Blair will be the sub
 
Apart from Dids quiet 2nd half last week I would have thought his form since returning from the calf injury has been pretty good. Not sure what matches everyone else has been watching.

Looks like only 1 poor game out of 6 to me. I know stats aren't everything but he's kicking well and making good decision with it.

You're right, stats aren't everything. And those stats just prove it.

I would take 15 Blair disposals with his immense forward pressure over any of those games by Didak.

In previous years, if Didak got those stats in a game, he would be BOG. He wasn't even close in any of those games. If he's not sub, hopefully the damaging Didak of old returns. Would rather he be sub though.

We have picked the best 22 man team we could to face the Hawks, Goldy is just outside that 22, and Fasolo is the best first year player we have, but just lacks the experience to go a whole game in a final.

Both could still be in the running to play next week though, with injuries/suspensions hopefully not coming play, although nothing is certain.

Mick on TGP quite clearly inferred that he couldn't trust Fasolo in a prelim final, that's how I interrpreted what he was saying about selections in so far as he said along the lines of "it's good to have kids, but in matches like the prelim experience counts for a lot and some times young players get found out".
I think Fasolo's game against the Saints has probably hurt him from holding his spot.

What do you mean can't trust Fasolo?
 
I agree with Mick, Fas should not play in the Prelim or GF, his game against WCE was only for 4 minutes and sure he kicked a goal and hand balled one off to Ball but I think he would struggle overall at a big game atm. He is not better than anyone in the 22.

Part of the reason clubs struggle to go back to back is they hang on to premiership players too long. Gotta move forward and not pick guys on what they did last year and pick them on current form. Fasolo has to play. He just has the knack of kicking goals. Wouldn't be surprised if he is a late inclusion.

cos he was playing for a spot and they were cruising to a gf? what other answer would sit nicely? you a fisherman?

obvious selections. best 22. but is it the best 21 plus sub? I still think goldsack is potentially the best sub: versatility plus intensity factor. Fas, & dids that used to be = versatility plus goal kicking x factor. dids may be dropped for gf if he doesn't do something, prolly for fas. poor goldy I'd transfer.
 
Good team, good changes.

Goldsack will feel a little unlucky but it's a hard side to stay in.

You would think Didak would be the sub for sure
