i would leave tambling out for a lil longer.... looks like TW is doing exactly that. one player who i unfortunately miss this week is tommy roach. he tried very hard but failed on occasions down back when under pressure. so imo he's one thats out. :o

Probably Campbell(inj.), Roach and Jackson to be dropped

Got a feeling Chaffey, Kellaway and Tivendale will be given a few more chances

one bloke i want to stay in the side and get much more game time and opportunity than he was given last week. but im thinking you are right JohnF. he could be one to be dropped for this week. :o

No point dropping them. Chaffey and Kellaway in particular aren't playing crap because they are half-hearted. They know they are fighting for their careers. No point giving a Bowden-style jolt in their case.

Might as well keep the old blokes in there to take the punches while the kids get to learn their craft at Coburg.

It might not be a bad thing for him to go back to Coburg and play a few full 4 quarter games. Whilst he is quite strong for his years he is still quite raw and is struggling with the pace of the game at the moment.

RICHMOND
B: Chaffey, Gaspar, Kellaway
HB: Tivendale, Bowden, Newman
C: Deledio, Tuck, Hyde
HF: Brown, Graham, Krakouer
F: Campbell, Richardson, Simmonds
FOLL: Knobel, Coughlan, Johnson
I/C (from): Pettifer, Raines, Hall, Jackson, Hartigan, Stafford, Roach
IN:Stafford, Hartigan, Raines

The team as named on the afl website, so baring any injuries the outs will come from Pettifer, Hall, Jackson and Roach if Stafford, Raines, and/or Hartigan are going to come in.

I'd go Pettifer, Raines, Jackson, Stafford

Agreed .... you`ve got to remember that he barely even trained last year as he was concentrating on his school commitments so this is pretty much the equivelent of a first season for him.

We are not going to be making any real dramatic improvment at the minute , as evidenced on the weekend ,so i reckon it would not be a bad idea to take a little of the heat off him and give a spell

I thought he showed a bit in the last quarter when given a run on the ball. He needs to improve his delivery but he did provide plenty of drive as a midfielder.

I'd keep him in and rotate him through the middle.

hartigan has to get a game! hardly put a foot wrong last year and least he will have a crack at it unlike some players last week!

Fair enough, who would turf then?

Was bored today and had a look around PRE to see what was being said about this week's game and a couple of people said that it was Tambling's back and not his toe that was injured. One bloke in particular sounded in-the-know and said it was a bit of a worry. Hope for his sake that's not the case.

I'd expect Hall, Roach and Tivendale to be dropped.

We don't need the extra height in defence so no need for Hall there, especially with Staff coming back in.

Roach needs to find some form in the 2's.

Tivendale is the same, although after TW's declaration of senior guys having 8 weeks max to convince him, he may come good. Same goes for Kellaway.

Chaffey I am happy to keep in for a bit because he's in a completely new position. He was good in the first quarter but poor after that. Another that should lift to impress Wallace as his chances are running out.

My guess would be:
OUT
Roach, Raines, Hall, Campbell(inj)

Raines was excellent for Coburg last week, hard to see him missing out.

Also, what is Campbell's injury? (you sure you're not thinking of Campbell for Hawthorn who will be missing with a knee?)

lmaoo Capt, I'm just going off word of mouth myself. Said on PRE that he left the track early in some distress.

We should know more after tomorrow's training session.
