That or lazy. If you checked the Essendon website you would see the Bendigo team minus Hislop. And as Merv said - Hocking has missed the whole season - a game or two will not cut it fitness wise.

Pev has niether the pace, nor the skills to play modern AFL footy...does well at VFL level...but so do a lot of players who aren't quite good enough.
When Pev first started as a hard tagger and nothing else, he was effective, largely because his poor skills, and even worse decision making weren't exposed coz most of his touches were in close.
The last 4 years there would not be many AFL sides that would've given him a game.
Finally we've got a vibrant midfield, with a lot more flexibility and a very different structure to what we've had in the last few years, and people are suggesting they want Pev in there? Some even seem to think it's a good idea to have both Pev and Slattery in there. Wow.

Slats hasn't played in the midfield for a long time, and despite what people say about him, he's our best small, shut-down, defender. Not sure what relevance he's got to Pev.
