Hooray, the travelling circus has arrived

These were the changes I predicted, go me. Dropping Hunt for Harley was always going to be contentious, but it was on the cards. Clubs just don't keep their captains out of the side when fit, right or wrong. We'll see how he goes this week - there will be a lot of eyes on him.

Chapman for Selwood was predictable. Joel has been great but as one of the youngest on our list, is always going to be more expendable. Frankly I don't think he needs a rest but Chapman had to come in for someone.

I wouldn't have thought he would need a rest, considering he only plays half a game or so. I think the kid should play every week regardless. He won't get conditioned otherwise.

One emergency [most likely Selwood] will either play a half or won't play at all in the VFL.That's the way it's been done this year when the seniors play sunday and the VFL saturday.

My opinion is that that Harley is not a necessity at the moment. We've been wining well without him, that is not to say he doesnt have value to our team in the future. But Egan is my prefered CHB now, but I guess that St.Kilda are likely to play three talls, which makes Harley a required player against the Saints. Its unfortunate that Selwood had to be dropped, someone who I feel in no time at all will become an essential player.

I'm hoping they play injured. That way, we will kill them by even more. I also hope Thompson plays Mooney in the backline, just so I can see him man up on Gherig.

Harley at his best is easily in our best 22. He must get matches under his belt to get match fitness. The sooner the better. The team will be better off come finals when he has had half a season of solid football under his belt.

That's just the point though isn't it, can he possibly be "at his best" with just one hitout in the reserves under his belt in the last seven weeks.
Been rushed into the side simply because he's the captain [IMO] and displaced a guy who has been playing good footy, just hope we don't come to regret it.

If Mackie keeps displaying the form he's produced so far this year I'm actually beginning to wonder if there's room for Harley at all, a very good footballer for a number of years but have a feeling his best is now behind him; hope he comes out and proves me wrong tomorrow.
