hmmm, interesting .... well, sad to see Ready out, he has been in fine form recently, lets hope it isn't for too long. And Hunter? I have been critcial of some of his play (seemed a bit slow around the ground IMO), but I thought he may have been handy against Collingwood.

the other two, Adkins and Munro were on the cards.

In's, well the "rewarding" continues. Glass, who I suppose is the direct swap for Hunter, his re-inclusion is long overdue. Looks like Carroll is in for the very long haul.

Humm is in to counter any Brodie Holland incidents I'd imagine. Probably a straightish swap for Read, might see Banners head to middle for some more play. (Wonder how close Wooden was to inclusion, instead of Hummer?)

The others speak for themselves.

Where is Collica?

on paper I think we are slightly favourites, "but you know what you can do with paper".

I think we can win, well of course we could, but we have to win the centre clearances, and our forwards must convert. Wouldn't mind to make a prediction that the form of Jako will determine this game. if he is influential at either of the ground, I'd think we are just about there.

rant over

Can't say as I'm surprised Hunter was omitted. As good as he is, he just hasn't been getting his hands on the ball recently, and a stint in the WAFL could only help.

I agree with others that Collica's continuing absence is a mystery. He was just about our best backman last year, and I would have thought him an automatic inclusion when he was ruled fit to play. Still what do I know?

Apart from Collica not being played..... I think Woosha has made the right decision. We look alot better with Kerr and Wirra in the team. We can win if we play well enough. Were up to it!

wirra and kerr are automatic inclusions if fit. i thought that munro and adkins showed promising signs but they are not close to the quality of david and duncan.

humm in for read seems a good choice.

glass for hunter? glass played bloody well last week. the pies have got 3 pototentially dangerous tall forwards in fraser, rocca and tarrent. i guess whoosha is keen to keep jako up forward. at least we will have the option of using him down back if things start to go pear shaped.

collica was (or at least close to) our best backman last year but his injury pre-season knocked him out. he is still feeling his way back through the WAFL. with morrison playing well he might find it hard to get back into the team.

it's a pity adkins can't play against his old team.

Hunter was a surprise to me until I remembered that he was chucking his guts up against the cats. Maybe still carrying some remnants of flu or something.

Collica not being included has to be due to lack of match fitness. Im sure once he has achieved a desirable level he will be slotted in at the first opportunity.

Humm for Read is a good move, maybe Humm will even play on the ball a bit to win us some hard ball seeing as Kerr could still be proppy.

Good to see Munro's scrawny arse out of the side too. Hasnt done ****-all.

Some interesting moves. Jako appears to be the last word at CHF, with the inclusion of Glass suggesting Jako will stay put in attack, unless Glass, Carroll *and* McIntosh are all getting raped.

The powers that be are either very confident that both Cox and Gardy are 100% or just very stupid-hopefully the former.

The inclusion of Humm might be a bit of an insurance policy in case Kerr and Wirrpunda aren't completely right. Gives us a bit more midfield grunt, and another defensive option. Cal Chambers must be banging his head against a wall about now.

Woosha would know the ruck is somewhere were we can really exploit the pies. Gardi and Cox are obviousley both right. Woosha aint that stupid!

Thrawn - I adore all my Eags, other than Kane Munro. I don't know what it is about him, I just can't accept him into the nest. I did hear on the radio that one of his legs is ridiculously longer than the other though, that might have something to do with it? Even when he plays ok, I struggle to give him credit for it :p

Overall, Ready's a big loss obviously, but re: Hunter, he's not been either good nor bad, if that makes any sense? He's just been there.

Awww that's not very nice, leaving Munro out of the nest, all by his lonesome. I think he was alright last week but you knew he and Adkins would be the scapegoats for the return of Duncan and Punda.

Glass' inclusion obviously means that Jakovich will be left at CHF, not a bad thing as he has been pretty good up forward this year. If either one of Milli, Glass or Carroll struggles down back, dont be surprised to see Jakovich moved down back. Could then move either Gardy/Cox to CHF or perhaps Embly.

Braun and Banfield in the back pockets...both really midfielders, both got cut up by Holland last season. Scary. Punda is back though and Humm is also in the side just in case. Bad time to lose Read though.

Thought HuntAAAA was unlucky. Didnt do much wrong, but I suppose he didnt do enough right. Im sure he will jump straight back into the side though.

In what way? - Glass has deserved the call up. Collica's too small to play on Tarrant or Fraser.
We have a dangerously short side as it is, dropping Hunter and bringing another small/mid sized player in would be a joke.

I'm going to come in and support Glass over Collica for this weeks game. Glass has been playing very well for Perth in the WAFL over the last few weeks while Collica is still a game or two away from getting back to playing with the Eagles.

Woosha is picking the blokes who have been impressing at WAFL level - great move!
