Re: Round 1 Teams Discussion Thread

what is silvani's scoring potential? is he a reasonably possession gatherer or more of a stopper?

He'd play a role more as a stopper I would think, with confidence he might link up a bit more, but we have many ahead of him as outlet options (Hayden, Duffield, Broughton etc).

I'd say the NAB scores are fairly reflective of his scoring potential, so around the 40-45 mark.

Re: Round 1 Teams Discussion Thread

not dropped num nut

Hes still not 100% right thus his low scoring in NAB and adelaide dont want to carry to many 70% fit players in, plus they are in perth on the biggest oval, they will get over run if they pick 70% fit players and in this case dangerifeld similar to why porpz hasnt been picked.

Lol :thumbsu:

Re: Round 1 Teams Discussion Thread

hey 40-45 is fantastic! my man petrenk would have loved to smash out a nice dirty big 40 every week haha!

happy with that score imo

question but, tommy rockliff.....i want to keep him cause i see him finding his way in at some stage, but will this be too far down the track?

Re: Round 1 Teams Discussion Thread

both rockliff and podsiadly being named as emergencies. who would be the more likely chance of getting a gig?

Re: Round 1 Teams Discussion Thread

What are peoples thoughts of Hodge being named in the mids? If he's gonna help out in the ruck, how is that going to damage his score? And how long till he's back where he belongs!?

Think Zac Dawson or look at Grover's DT production in the role. Though I like Silvagni's footskills so far and think he could get a far few backdoor kicks in the backline.

Re: Round 1 Teams Discussion Thread

also. do i take the punt on banner or just add jetta and keep it safe?

banner was delivering bigtime in the nab but...

Re: Round 1 Teams Discussion Thread

hmmmm just heard that duncan is in to counter the dons quicker backline / rebound...? pods should be back soon?

sound like it could be true?

Re: Round 1 Teams Discussion Thread

Relton Roberts. Can anyone enlighten me if any Richmond players are likely to push him out (considering he plays decently obviously)

Get pushed out if he plays decently!? Mate its not like your team. If someone plays decently we hang onto them for dear life.

Re: Round 1 Teams Discussion Thread

Anyone sticking with Pods?
I think i will because im not sold on relton!

It has been a point of discussion that if we enter the game going with the three tall forwards, Essendon will man up alot better against us whereas our small forwards will trouble them more.

So, that could be a reason.

Re: Round 1 Teams Discussion Thread

Seriously if you trade anyone around in your team that is named or is not a rookie then you are falling for the trap of last minute hoax posts. Just be calm, collected, look at the stats, think back why you selected so-and-so months ago and realise that the best course of action is usually to do nothing. Unless your player is injured (and there is an official report) i would never jump off just because someone randomly posted on the internet that they saw them not get on the plane.

I'm laughing at the people who got on board Relton Roberts! Andrew Browne all over again for me...

I'm sticking with Rockliff... in some ways I'm happy he wasn't named because now everyone gets off him and picks other players!

Re: Round 1 Teams Discussion Thread

In regards to Gray, that artice has scared me off Gray.

It says that he is 50/50 and even if he is still included in the final team it is highly likely that he will not play as well/ get less game time. I have made a rule to pick every player at round 1 that isnt under an injury cloud. He is no exception. Plus he has been injured in the past and willams may rest him to bee 100% before bringing him back.

Ill be swapping him to Ziebell :thumbsu:

Re: Round 1 Teams Discussion Thread

Rockliffe brisbanes 23 rd best player. I think he could still be worth the risk, i think hes better than banfield as a small forward, banfields more of a winger.

Although Hitchcock looks quite solid.

He is 70kg (the lightest player at the club) so I would not call him "solid", both in stature and as a DT proposition.

Another pathetic and pointless post by DWD...no surprise there.

Re: Round 1 Teams Discussion Thread

He was travelling ok for awhile with some semblance of human-like interaction. But there's been a regression back to the original Raw Talent persona. Probably a medication issue... or lack thereof.

Excellent post.

This time last year many apparently jumped off Liam Anthony because he wasn't named. Worked very well for them I understand .

Injuries should really be the only thing that changes things for you now (ie Gray).
