Re: Round 1 Teams Discussion Thread

Just having a bit of Trouble with my 3rd Mid (bartel + Stanton are 1-2)
and my 6th back (I have waters 7th) who do you guys think would be better

Courtnay Dempsey and Travis Boak

or

Liam Anthony and Nick Malceski

or is there some better players around there prices

Cheers

Re: Round 1 Teams Discussion Thread

He is 70kg (the lightest player at the club) so I would not call him "solid", both in stature and as a DT proposition.

Another pathetic and pointless post by DWD...no surprise there.

Hitchcock is best 18 at port and with cloke not being elevated as i know of yet he is a solid DT option at his price (not solid body wise).

He scored like 45+ in all games in the NAB and avg like mid 55's looks to be the only live wire small forward port have and is a williams favourite. I also dont want to take the score of relton roberts and not a good sign that Rockliffe isnt named. Could possibly still have another 4 ahead of him and Voss already shown his love for ranga boy Banfield. He adds speed to the forward line in which they need and Rockliffe doesnt have that much toe.

Re: Round 1 Teams Discussion Thread

Is there any substance to this Bartel groin injury rumour? One would assume not, but has anyone heard anything?

Re: Round 1 Teams Discussion Thread

Seriously if you trade anyone around in your team that is named or is not a rookie then you are falling for the trap of last minute hoax posts. Just be calm, collected, look at the stats, think back why you selected so-and-so months ago and realise that the best course of action is usually to do nothing. Unless your player is injured (and there is an official report) i would never jump off just because someone randomly posted on the internet that they saw them not get on the plane.

Excellent post.

This time last year many apparently jumped off Liam Anthony because he wasn't named. Worked very well for them I understand .

Injuries should really be the only thing that changes things for you now (ie Gray).

I agree with this, but I just made an Austin Wonaeamirri > James Podsiadly swap, then a Chris Mayne > Jay Schulz swap (didn't realise Wona was so far off, and have come to the conclusion that Mayne is indeed the better option), which left me with enough free cash for a Jude Bolton > Joel Selwood upgrade. I love Bolton, and he was an absolute mainstay of my team last year, but he's an 85-90 scorer (with great consistency and great tackling numbers each week), whereas Selwood is likely to score at least 100 (potentially 105-110) each week and is darkhorse captaincy option, so I think the extra $40,000 spend (and deviation from my plan) is worth it.
