Re: Round 6 Team Discussion

Hmm, now have no cover in mids and ruck with Warnock, Lobbe, Martin & Shuey out. Decided to just do the one trade for now this week with Hunt>Hams leaving me with a bit of spare cash for an upgrade next week. Hopefully Martin is just out for a week

Re: Round 6 Team Discussion

I'd pretty strongly consider trading in the guts to avoid the zero, but I'd sit on Danger just while you have cover. Gumby scored quite well on the weekend, so there isn't a huge necessity to rush someone else into the team in-front of him.

Depends how much cash you had in the bank though, if you were going to go Danger -> Premium, I'd consider it, although there aren't that many good options (fallen premiums) on offer just yet.

Thanks for the advice. Appreciate it :thumbsu:

I've got enough money to get Chapman for Danger, with 8k spare, but I was thinking of going for Syliva or someone around that price range to give me about $100,000 left over.

I guess though, to save the trade, I could just hold out with Gumbleton for as long as I can and then use the money elsewhere down the track....?

Part of me thinks it would be great to be getting the extra points straight away but I don't want to run out of trades.

Re: Round 6 Team Discussion

Warnock and Rockliff out? Geez. I hope Duncan plays. All these outs are going to throw many trading plans into whack. Do people cop zeros or trade?

Re: Round 6 Team Discussion

Martin, Boyd and Shuey all not playing. My plans this week for Hunt > Davis and then Dangerfield > Didak with 80K left have been changed big time. I really do not wanna cop a zero.

Re: Round 6 Team Discussion

Does anyone see Matthew Boyd as a possible late inclusion?
Perhaps he is named EMG so they can put him in the team if he passes a fitness test tommorow.

Re: Round 6 Team Discussion

I sure hope so.

How can you fitness test a hand injury. If its right he will be playing if it isn't he wont.

I find it very interesting that he is named an emergency, wouldn't surprise me if he played. Although i hope he doesn't. An article today or yesterday said he was right to play and he has under gone test.

Re: Round 6 Team Discussion

Lets see:

Mitchell - still out
Martin - out
Peterson - out
Waite - probably still out

Sigh.

Re: Round 6 Team Discussion

Why not downgrade a rookie n upgrade Martin to Selwood.

Well I don't know I'd be comfortable having Ablett Sel and Bartel all in the same midfield.
(but even so I see your point about a premium upgrade):

but a) I don't think Martin's reached the top of his cash cow curve and b) downgrading a rookie (i.e. shuey) will only net me 40k which isn't enough to do a decent upgrade.

I hate sideways trades but Cunnington may have to do.

Re: Round 6 Team Discussion

Unbelievable!!! 6 players out. Fortunately 4 are bench players, so I'll only be making 1 change. Have no bench cover for mids or forwards, so any late changes, and I'm screwed.

Re: Round 6 Team Discussion

This injury to Gia originated from where?

I am yet to see any report on this

Re: Round 6 Team Discussion

with Bock comming back into the team does Phil Davis have much longer in the starting 22?

Re: Round 6 Team Discussion

Gia is fine. Copped the rib injury during the 1st or 2nd quarter last week, went down into the rooms, and played out the game fine. Has trained all week too appparantley, so no worries there. I'm still banking on Boyd coming in, just yesterday an article reported he'd been given the green light to resume.... And the Dogs wouldn't leave a player of his calibre out if he was available, just gotta hope I guess.

Re: Round 6 Team Discussion

Who do you guys think I should start out of Hunt, Silvagni or Maguire.

Maguire is listed to play full back against Brisbane and Hunt faces Richmond which could be a plus for his statistics. I already have Davis in my side, so the Hunt trade isn't an option at the moment.

Silvagni's scores this season have been just as good as Hunt too, which makes it a difficult choice.
