Armitage is a nobody at this stage in his career. It's akin to us bringing in Stanley. Not a big IN at all... Ball on the other hand is massive if he plays and is fit, he had 14 tackles in his last match.
He hadnt missed moure than a month of footy before that game either, oh and he had actually trained that week leading in as well TRS lol

Cloke will def. play, he has had a bug, as i was on the flight back on Sat night he was vomitting and looked really sick...

As for Ball, even if he does play, after such a long time out, and not even training with the main group, he won't be that effective.

Rhyce was diabolical in the first half last week. His ****ups were instrumental in getting Adelaide back into the game.
erm 10 adelaide free kicks to 1 collingwood free kick would of helped alot more than rhyce shaw.

Rhycewasnt good in teh first half though

Shaw kicked goals for once last week HE IS STIFF cook gets the nod because hes younger ide say. Good for the future but hopefully doesnt hurt in this game. Wakelin same deal.

A half fit Ball would be better than an Allen, Birss or Steven. Ball is a gun and built for finals football. He would make an impact even if it was just in a forward pocket.

No injured or unfit player is useful in finals.

If ball is sore or unfit it helps us immensly, even if he is a better player than armitage, allen, birss or whoever

I think Rhyce Shaw is a bit stiff to miss out this week. I can recall two of his errors that resulted in Adelaide goals at the beginning of the second quarter last week but he did some good things after that. It'll be interesting to see if there any late changes - for either side.

If we're going on form, Burns for Rhyce was always going to be the change. Fair enough I guess.

Also, I think you guys are selling Armitage a bit short. He's young so obviously a bit inconsistent, but he'll be a very good player in years to come. If he has a good day he could hurt us. And Ball is obviously a big in too if he plays, even at 80% capacity.

I'd doubt that the emergencies mean as much as everyone is reading in to them.

While it would, on the surface, make sense to have a ruckman as an emergency, at the same time, there are more forwards, backs and midfielders in the team than there are ruckmen.

This is the selected side, and these would be the players expected to play. If an injury occurs from here, you would expect that it is unforseeable, and in that, you would want to cover your bases as broadly as possible.

That said, you never know who might have the sniffles, and the club is aware of who may or may not be good to go on game day. Granted, I don't think anyone will miss, but you never know what might happen.

MM did say that if Burns is a > 50% chance, he would be named and cover provided in the emergencies.

One would assume the same would hold true for Prestigiacomo with Wakelin named in the emergencies.

Absolute crock of shit that Cook remains in the team and Rhyce is dropped. I totally agree that Rhyce' disposal is questionable at the best of time but the way he breaks the lines is incredible.

Where is Cooks upside? I'm sorry but I can't see any and don't see any potential. I can't even remember seeing one of his disposals hit a target last week (Every kick falls short by 4 metres) and all he does is shitty chip passes that holds up our running play.

Rhys may have played his last game for Collingwood

It appears the case

Shaw kicked goals for once last week HE IS STIFF cook gets the nod because hes younger ide say. Good for the future but hopefully doesnt hurt in this game. Wakelin same deal.

Throws away all his good work by turning it over or like in the last he ran right over the top of the ball and they kicked a goal, it was amatuer league stuff

Rhyce can no longer be trusted when the pressure is at it's highest. His poor kicking inside the 50m where his depth of kicking is always short, and he never kicks it to a preferred side just hurts. His shocking judgement in some one on ones last week could have cost us a final. And when he gets dragged back deep the high ball = goal for them.

This is a no brainer selection.

Ben Reid is on the emergency list, what the?

And in terms of Presti, if you look forward, he is our best match up for Franklin, so my guess is they'll play him with that match up in mind. Why not. Although Wakes really owns Kosi, so I hope that doesn't backfire. Brown to Kosi, Presti to Riewoldt. O'Brien to Milne. Important match ups right there.

They're not mutually exclusive.

Rhyce had a hand in three consecutive Adelaide goals in a period of about three minutes. His turnovers, free kicks conceded, and inability to gather the ball were horrendous. And that's within a short space of time -- there were other blunders too.

His set up of two goals, kicked 1 himself and hard running which resulted in goals dont give him any credits at all?

Im not saying he didnt play a shitful first half but he made up for it in the second and his speed and hard running will be difficult to replace

Wouldn't that be his upside, he now starts hitting targets? :D

Clearly, the club rates him very, very highly. There may also be a ? over Travis Cloke due to illness.
