Its the average AFL salary for non-rookies. Well over half our squad would be on 350k or less.Even shoey would be on more than 350k , lets not kid ourselves the afl have farked us . criminal and laughable is 350 these days

..Ted was certainly out-pointed haplessly a number of times last night but his teammates did little to help him out. A couple of those really long, high kicks to enter our defensive 50 came after plenty of time for defenders/midfielders to flood into defence. And yet they ended up with only Ted and his opponent contesting the mark in isolation. A bunch of other teammates were present but stagnant and stuck on the ground. Not willing to go off their opponents and kill the ball, something they normally do automatically. Not sure how that happens and I'm sure Longmire will be getting into them for that.
Our defence has always worked as a greater whole than each defender as a one-on-one defender. We've never had a huge number of great one-on-one defenders and Ted needed help there.

Richards and Rampe play different styles. The way that Rampe plays now is how Richards played 3-4 seasons ago. The way that Richards plays now is how Grundy played 3-4 seasons ago. Styles change as the needs change, but Richards is being asked to do something he isn't any good at; body on body defending. He's basically being knocked over by 6ft midfielders.
Rampe moved to Schulz, Schulz hardly beats him. Rampe moved to Riewoldt, Riewoldt hardly beats him. Rampe moved to Gunston, makes him his bitch.

We don't need someone reasonable, just someone who can fall over in contests and get out marked easilyKey defenders who are ready to go though would be on reasonable money
Yeah you can get Jeremy Laidler types all you want but we need someone reasonable

He filled in for Grundy a couple of weeks ago and did not look out of place ?Everyone seems to think we can just throw Reid back there and everything will be fine. I'm not convinced. We have a golden opportunity for a premiership in the next 2 seasons and we're stuffed if we don't address this issue somehow.
Yes we need to try bolster the stocks of kpd but absolute worst case scenario is reid goes back.
Sometimes you never know how players will go until the eesperate times arive. Look at wce and the emergance of mcgovern...the club will find a solution....they always do
Both struggle to compete one on oneNot funny.
So exactly how is he an upgrade.....given your striking recommendation, we may as well stick with Ted for another season and then go for broke with the trade bans all done and dusted.I really don't get why everyone is against him? He's probably the best affordable defender out there for us, who replaces Richards like-for-like.
Yeah, he's got issues and he can be out bodied too easily, but he'd be an upgrade at the moment.

Both fall over a lot
Derickx is taller
Seems a reasonable suggestion from Sir
Not funny.
I must say that I laughed a bit when I saw this post.Derrickx to full back
More upside. He's not a bad defender and he was excellent in the 2012 GF. We could definitely get him around 300~350k.So exactly how is he an upgrade.....given your striking recommendation, we may as well stick with Ted for another season and then go for broke with the trade bans all done and dusted.

SS, you're not making any sense. 'Points scored' is not a disputable or ambiguous stat. It's simply how much we've scored. We sit hundreds of points behind WCE & Hawks and even behind Freo, the most defensive team of all. We're just not kicking scores. Our mids need to clean up forward entry and stop turning the ball over inside 50. Clearances count for nothing if the ball is pumped down the throat of the opposition. Not Buddy or Tippet's fault, just the midfield. Is that so hard to acknowledge ? Yes, I know Tom's in the midfield and therefore you feel protective. The elite player as you call him, future Brownlow medallist, club champ and team of the century. He also might need to take stock of the quality of his disposals (after all stats don't mean a thing, right ?). Rest assured he's not the only one.Not the midfield creating stoppages restricting scoring
Its nick smith dropping marks, rhyce shaw butchering the ball, ted getting rag dolled if the stats say it then it must be true
Lift buddy you lazy prick
