Here is the reply i received from the AFL..
Dear .....,
Thank you for your email outlining your concerns regarding AFL broadcasting for Season 2007, and in particular into SA.
The agreement struck between the AFL and its broadcast partners sees teams located outside Victoria assured live or near live coverage on free-to-air television in their home market. When these games are allocated Fox Sports games, the game will be available on both free to air (Seven or Ten, depending on the time) and Fox Sports. Effectively this means that if Adelaide, Port Adelaide, West Coast, Fremantle, Brisbane or Sydney is competing in an allocated Fox Sports game, the game will also be broadcast into the home market on a free to air network (eg into Adelaide for a game involving Port Adelaide). In these circumstances, the game that would have been shown on free to air but for the substitution will be replayed later either on Fox Sports or a free to air network, depending on the game.
The AFL seeks to deliver the best possible television coverage to fans and will continue discussions with networks regarding fan feedback such as yours.
We acknowledge and appreciate your comments, and we thank you for taking the time to communicate your concerns to us.
Regards,
AFL Broadcasting
Can I urge you all to email the foxsports dept and ask them to put our game on main event channel as they did last week into Qld....thanx
