yes thats right if everyone can raise 1000 dollars he will get the head shaved and all the body hair waxed so come on west aussies lets get together and make carl loose his hair and help the poor kids that need this money

Telethon is a good cause but it takes up too much TV!!

Richmondfan#1 we donate all year but just dont know it. So many thing we buy during the year are part proceeds to telethon. Thats why i never have donated cos im giving them my money all year long plus i aint rich. If i was a millionaire i would have no problem donating.

Did anyone also notice they made 2.2 Million compared to 2.5M Million last year? Do you guys think it's dying or will be able to survive?

it was a laugh and they got 5000 dollars for it.
but just because you buy things during the year doesn't mean you can't even donate 1 dollar as they say every dollar counts

It'll survive. $2.2 million is still alot of money. Channel 7 didn't have alot of BIGNAME celebrities this year either but next year they'll probably bring on another international star.

I heard on the news that donations kept coming and there very end total was over 2.4 million so i dont think its dying.

I think it was real good how Karl said he would be shaved for telethon. I'm sure I wouldn't do anything like that. I didn't donate either as I'm in the same opinion as jod23. And some people can't even afford to give a dollar.

It's all very nice for people to say they will donate money for Telethon, but does anyone ever wonder about the success rate of people honoring their pledges? Just a thought.
