New Update:

Not bad, the lines aren't straight though, they're increasing in width and it looks to be an accident. It's a cool design otherwise (shame about the white box for the sponsor)

Giving some shading a crack

Is it worthwhile continuing?
There's still a fair bit of tinkering to do in terms of opacity and shapes, but it's reminding me of my CAN-AM entry, which isn't necessarily a good thing in my eyes.

Also, I've been tinkering with some new numbers, should be coming soon.

I have done a first pass on making a soccer template for the FLO and as such was wondering if there were any large issues with it such as the proportions that should be fixed before I progress any further with it.

Don't button up the shirt the whole way, you nerd!

I personally like it. Maybe the shorts are a little too puffy considering the compactness of the rest of the shirt itself?

What if we had a competition entry feedback thread. It could help out the contestants to get better designs and it could also help out comp runners figure out who goes in what division.

This sort of thing could definitely go in the preseason thread of that particular comp.

"Hey, this is what i'm working on, give me some honest feedback"

Obviously a few people will be creating new templates or adapting their footy template for the FLO, so it might be a really good time to do this sort of thing.

I'm quite happy with my soccer template, but i'm having some issues on the design side of things, wanting to keep it simple like all good soccer kits are, while at the same time wanting to do something interesting that will get votes. It's a lot easier in Aussie Rules where big and guernsey dominating designs are standard fare

Alright, so here is the evolution of all my templates:
Started with the filthy gradients:

Continued with filthy gradients:

Before I retraced everything and started again:

With gradients still existent:

I started to incorporate gradients a bit betterView attachment 187835
I decided to scrap them:

then make shading:

and finally made; new shading, new colours, new shorts, new socks and new presentation:

Both the Eagles ones are absolutely amazing.

Okay... here is a link to my PHOTOSHOP template (albeit, a VERY watered down version of it):
- https://www.dropbox.com/s/byl5693r3xeppcr/MFCROX Photoshop Template.psd?dl=0

It is 29MB in size (My full one is a shade under 200MB), but it includes:
- Front on view of the player in short sleeve guernsey (sorry, no rear view)
- All manufacturer templates (collars, stitching, labels, etc.)
- All current AFL club home guernseys (sorry, no away/clash guernseys)
- All sponsors on front of home guernseys
- Solid and hooped socks

Essentially, it looks like the above... but, given that it is Photoshop, a lot of it can be tinkered with to your own liking. There is enough base shapes (stripes, yokes, hoops, chevons, sashes, etc.) to do whatever you want really. To change the base colour of the guernsey you'll have to go into the 'Guernsey Base' folder, and change the colour overlay. Likewise with the shorts. Most things can change colour with 'Colour overlay'.

Enjoy :)
