Solid shape. What's happening with the stitching at the bottom (appears to be cut off) and the bottom of the right-facing cuff (appears to expand into the back of the jumper)?
Yeh I'll have to fix all that. The cuff bit is a bit dodgy, I'll keep playing with it.
reminds me a bit of my old template if it were on an angle, I'd probably beef it out towards the bottom a bit more. Looking really nice though Cody.
Thanks man, still needs a bit of work!
Not bad, I think the collar needs to be flat on the bottom.
Also, do you have a download link for the font on top?
Cheers man. The font is called ''Phosphate" I believe it came with my Mac. If you look around you might find it free online.

So I've been working on this new template. It's supposed to be semi-realistic. There's still lots of work to do with detail/shadowing but I'm not too bothered by that right now.

What would be the best way of incorporating shorts, socks and the back of the uniform in this?

The template is great! I think the backbround and the face/facial hair takes away from the guernsey design a bit. Also above the DI in BONDI there is a light that takes away from the guernsey design a bit. Fairly minor things but if you fixed it up it would be good for the guernsey design!

As for the shorts, socks and back my suggestion would be the make it a full body like Meros designs in the Year by Year section and then for something different maybe make a 'mirror' in the background to put the back design on to.

Gibbsy can this one be put in the locked and stickied template thread.

Assuming I add socks to this, does anyone think this teplate will stand up in comps? Also do the shorts look nice?

The jagged edges on the shorts aren't the best.. I'm not sure I would vote for it, considering everyone has well and truly modernised their templates for 2018. I think whatever design you use would have to be a very strong one for that to work well.

Will be sure to have a look at this, always like to see how others put their templates together. Cheers Scorch!

With my new 'passion' for creating templates from scratch Ive made this basketball one. Ive already finished 1 attempt but the jersey looked way to baggy and I couldn't get past how the shorts looked like 3/4 pants in scale with the tucked in jersey even though I traced a relatively good photo of Paul George.

Ignore the thin light blue lines they're just my guide lines
I would like some opinions on my second attempt before I go too much further. My points of concern are that the jersey is still too baggy and the collar and cuffs are to thick. Im not too worried about the shorts at the moment, the only time that Im probably going to use this template is for the BF Olympics and my country's uniform maker and supplier still make bball shorts properly like the good ol days! ;)

Yeah the collar and cuffs are probably all that needs to be changed (make them smaller.) Also if you want the real good old days, make the shorts way smaller. :D

It's crazy seeing so much green, seen here in the Celtics, Mavs, Sonics, Celtics again and the Bucks all in green!

This template is fire! I'm planning on using it in the NAFLR next season, but I couldn't resist doing a couple edits to it to pimp it how I'd prefer it. Still trying to figure out how to add some Nike boots (even though Copa Mundials are beautiful)

Thanks. I did see a photo of Bird in shorts like that and was just going to use the footy shorts that I made! :p
Its nuts but in the AFL precious Collingwood are the only team that can wear black and white!

Not sure which part you were asking about so will answer for both;

Because it is a paid template so it is under a single user license. Sharing it breaches that.

Takes a bit of digging, but there are places where they are available. Sometimes it takes making a deal for a swap of something, other times they are just able to be downloaded.

Does anyone have any tips regarding tracing over shirts then creating the shadows to make it realistic? i have a template that i want to pen tool the outline and create different layers for all the different parts.

i am tracing over a white carlton shirt but there is a big CFC in the middle, plus all the logos etc. How do i account for those?
lots of questions, but i want to create something quite realistic with shadows etc. Or is there no way of doing that?

YouTube is your best friend when it comes to learning to design stuff. I learnt everything I know for YouTube and now I have a job out of it. [emoji3]

If you're using photoshop, you could try the clone stamp tool to remove logos. It's a fiddly process but it's probably the best way.

Alternatively look at plain white shirts and trim them into guernsey shapes.
