Not sure but he must have been training grappling to have a guillotine sub on his record. He could take a couple of years to train BJJ and still be really young before taking MMA seriously.

The guy he beat by sub has a 0-4 pro record though and his other losses (incl those as an amateur) were by subs against guys who typically lose by sub. So don't think a sub win confirms his grappling experience just yet haha.

I didn't really know he did MMA until I saw this thread actually, but did bit of research and not much on him that is in English unfortunately besides the youtube vids.

If I was his trainer I would recommend BJJ and a couple of years training with wrestlers/judokas if he really wanted to pursue MMA.

He will probably get offered squillions to stay in Japan so we may never see him in the UFC.The UFC's policy of not allowing their fighters to fight in other disciplines would probably be another stumbling block. He could end up like what Overeem was pre UFC fighting K1 and dream at the same time.

It's amazing how he's so good at everything when it comes to striking. There are no big gaps. You get some strikers with the flashy spinning kicks but then they aren't very good in the clinch. You get really good kickers who aren't that good with their hands. You get really good clinch strikers who aren't the best boxers. These are all descriptions of some really good strikers but they aren't the well-rounded striker that Nasukawa is.

Those first couple of videos in this thread together sum all this up. Nasukawa's created an unreal style combining a Kyokushin Karate base with Japanese Kickboxing and Muay Thai.

He really shows off his vicious clinch game in this fight. Unloads some ridiculously fast and powerful knees in the clinch a bit before the knockdown and then finishes the fight with a couple more monstrous knees.

"Suakim is the former Lumpinee Super Bantamweight champion and current Super Featherweight ranked 8. He had no real opponents in his weight division and is now fighting 2 classes above his weight. Don't let the #8 ranking fool you as Suakim is coming off of a TKO just a week ago over reigning champion Nawaphon. He is coming down to his natural weight class for his match against Tenshin." - tranypanda7 on Reddit.

WOW never would have envisioned this.

Sounds like the rules have yet to be announced. You can't have tenshin fighting without allowing him to kick...? Maybe it will be one of those bouts with different rules in each rd.. dunno.

If they allowed just kicks and the fight was legitimate....Floyd's ****ed.

But even if kicks are allowed...who here thinks this will be a real fight on it's merits.

9 figure pay day for 9 minutes of sparring work.....smart on Floyd's end.
