Id like to personally thank and credit Raj Singh Dungarpur for giving this young 16 year old kid his first test in November 1989.

My selection is

Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar

The greatest batsman alive and in some eyes the greatest cricketer to have played the game. When I found out I was first pick in the 80's I was happy knowing I was building my batting lineup around the Little Master.

Some eyes thorne89. Not necessarily my eyes and agree Warney right up there. Both in my top 5 but not number 1 ;)

Oh I was merely putting Marcus's name up for contention. :D

But I guess I wouldn't say Sachin is the best ever player, nope. Still a handy type though haha!

Yeah I'd say he'd go close. Especially seing he's in my team :p

There is no way he is as good a batsman as, say; Hutton, Trumper, Hill, Hammond and Kanhai. Just off the top of my head. :D

Close. Definitely close. Not #1 though, that honour would HAVE to go to Bradman.

Best cricketer ever and yes Sobers.

Although Bradman must have been damn good too.

IMO, Bradman was a better batsman than Sobers, but Sobers was the better all-round cricketer. Methinks they're 1 and 2.

And no, the draft order wasn't rigged ;)

Yeah Bradman clearly better batter but give me a quality all rounder any day.

I'm thinking of starting up a draft where I have the first pick every decade. That wouldn't be to obvious would it :D
