Lol I reckon my team has all batsman and 1 bowler. :o

Chris Rogers is the best batsman ever

#amidoingitrite?
Tell ya what I'll pick Rogers in the 2000's and Trade him to ya for King Viv

Still dirty you jumped in before me on that one. Viv and Sachin would have been the perfect middle order.

King Viv is mine bitch! One of my favourite cricketers ever! :D

Tossing up between 2 of my all time favourites, but I can never go past Curtly Ambrose

1. Sunil Gavaskar
2. Denis Compton
3.
4. Ken Barrington
5. Doug Walters
6.
7. Les Ames
8. Curtly Ambrose
9. Jim Laker
10. George Lohmann
11. Bert Vogler

12.

Again!

Luckily this time there was nothing between the two selections, when I was tossing up between them.

I need the left arm variety in my attack, and I'll take the greatest left armer of all time imo, swing bowler to boot, and a very handy lower order batsmen. It ensures I bat right down to 10, with Marshall averaging 18 in test cricket.

Edit: Bat's to #11, Verity averaged 20 with the bat in test cricket.

Wasim Akram.

Slax

1. Bill Ponsford
2.
3.
4.
5. Colin Cowdrey
6. Frank Worrell *
7. Frank Woolley
8. Mike Proctor
9. Wasim Akram
10. Malcom Marshall
11. Hedley Verity

Not sure I'd be too keen facing up to those 3.

Geez we are getting some good teams forming here

Lol know I think about it. I would have enjoyed this game if I saw my tags. :(

Slax

Jack Hobbs
William Whitty
Jack Ryder
Lindsay Hassett
Bill Johnston
Peter May
Bill Lawry
Bob Willis
Waqar Younis

A strong batting line-up is the focal point of this team. Led by Hobbs, Slax has also picked up some other useful batsmen in Hassett, Lawry and May. Johnston and Willis is also a good new-ball partnership, with Younis chipping in. The Bar Flies will have to pick up a good spin bowler to add some variety in later rounds, however. Luckily for Slax, the 90's is stacked with them.

Wacky Tiger

Charles Turner
Aubrey Faulkner
Harold Larwood
Stan McCabe
Clyde Walcott
Alan Davidson
Geoffrey Boycott
Dennis Lillee
Sachin Tendulkar

Solid all-round team. Firstly, you have your mainstays in the batting lineup in Tendulkar, McCabe, Boycott (zzzzzz...) and Walcott. Strong. Add in a bowling attack that includes Lillee, Davidson and Larwood and you have a strong team. Again, a spin bowler needs to be added, and a wicketkeeper would also be handy.

Pykie

Frank Woolley
Phil Mead
Bill Ponsford
Hedley Verity
Frank Worrell
Colin Cowdrey
Mike Proctor
Malcolm Marshall
Wasim Akram

Fast bowling is obviously the forte of The Replacements. Proctor, Marshall and Akram makes for a deadly 3-pronged pace attack. Adding to this, Ponsford and Worrell make for a strong batting lineup, however the team could use a few more bats. A keeper is also needed.

Marklar_33

George Lohmann
Bert Vogler
Les Ames
Denis Compton
Jim Laker
Ken Barrington
Doug Walters
Sunil Gavaskar
Curtly Ambrose

There are cricket legends from Gavaskar down here. The only complaint for me is there's too many Poms :p. Solid batting - definitely not standout, but also very underrated. Both Walters and Barrington were superb in their day, but neither are talked about that much these days. Lohmann, Laker and Ambrose all contribute to a good bowling lineup. Not much needed here - a good all-round team.

Cheers for the feedback. Reckon I'll stick with Faulkner as my spinner at an average of 26ish.

Walcott started his career as a keeper so worst case scenario he can take the gloves otherwise I should be able to sneak on in the next couple of rounds.

With pick #4 in the 90s guaranteed to get my AAA spinner.

What have I got in the 80's?
