One of the best. An elite batting lineup consisting of the Black Bradman, Weekes and Pollock, as well as two speed demons in Walsh and Trueman, makes for a great team. Trumble and Marsh are good representations of their respective roles, however there are better. Not much needed here except maybe a solid opener.
Firstly, I wouldn't discount Trumble: as noted, he did hold the record for the most test wickets for a while. And secondly, I was waiting to hold on for a slightly better keeper but thought those above Marsh on the dismissals list would go before I had a chance at picking them due to my having late picks when they were available. I take your point on the need for a solid opener, though, which is why I take:

Very solid pick, i would have taken him if big_e hadntSolid pick. Would have taken him if I didn't have Greenidge.

I was just thinking, if I don't get the chance to get a good keeper, Dravid keeped a bit, so he would be a good backup.
Using cricsim.
Oh, I thought it would be going to a vote?
Not anymore, The Reaper is going to sim a competition for us.
Mmm. How does this 'cricsim' work? Does it give an advantage to the selectors who know how it works?
It's the program that is used for the BFCL (BigFooty cricket league).
Does it use merely stats? I'd have thought in a competition that goes over eras basing judgements on stats alone would be foolish.Mmm. How does this 'cricsim' work? Does it give an advantage to the selectors who know how it works?

But sims are random. How can that be fair. The worst team could win
I like votes, maybe 5-4-3-2-1 and put justifications for our choices? I'll probably do it regardless after we're done.![]()
OR should we do what we did for the domestic cricket draft?
whatever you want, mate.Nah, took way too long IMO. I like the vote, but I'll be happy with whatever the head honcho decides.
Which I just looked back at the OP and realised was youwhatever you want, mate.
Wait and see how good your squad looks firstDon't really know atm. I'll decide after the draft finishes.

Yeah but it isn't guaranteed. Anyone can beat anyone. The cricket sim is not random it is based on stats, the type of pitch which can be randomised or selected by the home team, what the bowlers bowls and with what hand the batsman uses.
