You don't think a bunch of our players getting pf together could possibly have something to do with their training or preparation? Are you... sure?
I’m more sure they are probably running a lot on poor footwear for them than they are from randomly doing less calf stretches collectively, yes

Is Collingwood the only team that has it?
No. Fly said in his presser it's more common. Perhaps not as many as ours tho. Lachie Neale & Callum Mills have both had PF issues recently too.

Maynard became the fourth Magpies player to suffer plantar fascia issues recently, something the club is investigating.

"Apparently it's an industry issue as well because our research high performance team tells us that," McRae said.

"We've got a person in that's doing a great job ... we're doing things that we haven't done before.

"We're in a process of trying to make sure that it's not an issue."

So the club randomly put a bunch of their players in poor footwear the past 12 months? And only Collingwood did it? That's more believable than players overtraining and having tight calves which puts strain on the plantar fasci? Ok.

we will likely never find out what has caused it as I doubt they’ll say but I reckon they will get the players impacted different boots and you are welcome to think that’s crazy and they won’t because they just need to reduce training or do more stretching :thumbsu:

Take your negativity elsewhere champ, dunno why the entire board hasn't blocked you like I am just about to.

Id nearly guarantee there'd be a lot more that just play through it and its not reported
Exactly. We didn't know Bruz was dealing with PF issues last year until it was revealed at the end of the season. Lachie Neale was in a moonboot after every game towards the end of last year due to PF before rupturing it during the GF.

There are a few foot injuries on other teams injury lists. And as you say, probably plenty of others just playing through it.

TJ actually has a different issue, his is coming from the plantaris tendon not the PF that Bruz et al have dealt with.

Still, I'm all in on a conspiracy theory of some sort.. :)
Excellent, I’ll share my next theory then
How I see it - Over training and lack of stretching would presumably lead to players having other stress related and soft tissue injuries rather than they all have the same thing which also happens to have a link to footwear?

My bet is that we are running more and possibly harder than other clubs. You can see how good our fitness is in games. Might also explain what happened in Rd0 if we had just slammed the guys all pre-season and let the pressure off a little too late before that game.

Unfortunate timing, I feel he has been improving all the time and is starting to push for selection. That said, he will have to wait for his opportunity given how well our back line is performing at the moment.
