I thought I remembered this moment really well, but I do not remember those socks at all.

Now I'm starting to question everything.
1970crow I know you’re a keen sock man, so you remember these?

Love Tex Walker.
We've pretty much watched him grow up from a goofy Broken Hill kid to a still-goofy-man, but a leader and star of the Club.

He's grown up, sure, but retained his boyish sense of fun and guileless openness. He's authentic; not a showpony or razzle-dazzler, but leads and organises his forward teammates with experienced nous.
Those teammates will say with pride for years: "I played alongside Tex Walker".

My fave goal is when he faked to the R outside 50, sold Aliir a whole stall of Showbags filled with candy and sent him the wrong way, jinked to his L and nailed it with his wrong foot from out where the 50m line intersected the boundary on the SE flank.
I typed "wrong foot" but his ambidexterity means he doesn't really have one.

A QF at Home is a huge game for his 300th after 7 years in the losing Wilderness and I'd love for the boys to win the game with Tex kicking 3+ goals. Then, a PF and GF; ha, I wish!!
Love Tex Walker.

I love the Aliir goal because I think Dunstall and Brad Johnson broke out laughing in the box because it was so ridiculous.

I dont have a favourite but the fact he takes ownership of situations and does his best to lift the team. Plenty of long goals outside 50 and that selling Candy to Aliir and long goal on the left has to be up there as one of his best moments
Yeah it could be recency bias but the Aliir moment was incredible. Name me any other player in the past 15 years that could do that. Sell the dummy, and dob a perfect drop punt through the middle, from outside 50, on their non preferred. I don't think there's even a handful that could. Elite.

McLeod, Roo, Modra, Tex.

Jarman, Betts, Goodwin.

Tex hasn't achieved a premiership, yet, but his commitment to the club and being our spiritual leader for virtually his whole career has to be one of the best of all time.

He should also be a multiple AA winner, its a travesty he only has 1.

Any chance of the Crows organising something for Tex at the ground? Blue, red and yellow flannels to wave around? Or too hard with it being a final?

Well as it is a final the ground is controlled by the AFL not like a Crows home game.

Mind you, back in 2015 when we played the Bulldogs all the lighting was in red, white and blue and thought it should have been neutral.

Love the Tex, have seen every game he has played … just such a smart player.

The thing I notice is how well respected he is on the ground by almost all opposition players.

I get a feeling he is well liked across the competition.

He is tough but never dirty, never. He doesn’t ever target a young player physically or try and bully. He just beats them at footy.

Will be remembered as one of the best kicks of the football in the modern era, and a handball that nearly pops the Sherrin!

I guess they could give things outside the stadium.
