Tex's tally is now 11 goals after 2 rounds. A bit of an early extrapolation, but he's on track to kicking 100 goals this season!

On a more serious note, I think the stars have aligned for him to have a great year, whether he achieves 100 goals or not. His kicking has been as good as any forward this year. His leading has been strong. He also has turned himself into a tackling ninja too!

Would be great to see Tex maintain form, if for anything else, will make our younger forwards walk a little taller. The team to likely play with more confidence, knowing we have a consistent forward spearhead. Carn' Tex!

No way, jose.

Assuming he stays injury free, which is incredibly unlikely at his age, I think 50+ is very doable. 60+ is possible, but relies on good health and us playing well. 75 is the absolute maximum but would rely on everything going absolutely perfectly this year.

Talk of seeing 100 goal seasons again is just hype from commentators based on a very small sample size.

The title is about the 100 goal benchmark. The poll is about the Coleman medal. 2 separate equations.

You mentioned it's possible for Tex to get 60-75, which already would make him a strong challenger for the Coleman. If we add the 2 preseason games, he's averaging 4-5 goals per game this year. Which is quite unbelievable as it is. I don't think there's a fan who isn't pleasantly surprised with the output Tex has shown so far this year, albeit it being a small sample size.

He's played two outstanding games to start with, but I doubt he can maintain his current output- whether that be his form going down, the team's form getting worse (youngsters, inconsistency etc.), injuries etc.

Could conceivably crack 50, though.

He looks good, but come on now. No forward has kicked 100 goals in over a decade
The new rule change in "man standing on the mark" is allowing more free flowing games and generally higher scoring games. Forwards are benefitting as a whole. That's the general perception I'm seeing anyway.

100 goals is fantasy land stuff.

If he stays fit and in good form ~3 goals a game would be attainable for Tex, meaning he pushes 70 goals for the year.

If he runs at his career average for the rest of the season, which is 2.2, he kicks 55.

Stats don't tell the current landscape though. Tex more fit and firing than recent years, and he doesn't have the likes of Betts and JJ to steal big load of goals off him.

I'd be perfectly okay with a 50+ goal season from him. That would definitely be a return to form

I don't think he gets AA, but if he continues at his current pace without injuries, he's a big chance for the squad

Id love him to get AA this year. We’re realistically still likely to be bottom 4-8 this year, but tex finally getting some recognition would be enough of a joy ride to keep me satisfied this year

This last fortnight Tex Walker highlights video searches have taken over from pornhub searches as my most frequently searched videos, but I still don't think he has a chance of reaching 100. If he hits 50 he has surpassed all expectations.

He has put together a great career and copped more than his fair whack in the media. Has been my favourite crow for a long time now.
Would love for him to keep up his form and get some awards so that when he does exit the game, he has some external accolades to hang his hat on.
We know how important he has been for us or a very long time, but without at least one AA nod, or even a club BnF, I can see the haters coming for him, even in retirement.
