Just saw on twitter that Tex has been reported for striking Jordan Lewis. Apparently no footage of the incident which strikes me as strange. Did Lewis dob him in? If the umpire had reported him at the time why would it only be coming out now?

How is it going to sustain a report without any video? When's the last time a report got upheld without any footage?

I remember an incident in the last, as they were setting up for a throw in, Tex went over and shoved Lewis in the shoulder. But Lewis barely moved. Was nothing that doesn't happen at every stoppage any way.

No way it could be that surely?

Nah, it was part of a melee'ish moment where there were lots of pushing and shoving. Like I said above, it's more than likely started by a Vince snipe.

It would have been in the match review if there were reports like Vince listed

There has to be video evidence if it wasnt reported on the day

Has AFL.com reported anything

Nah nothing there as yet.

Must have been a boundary umpire or the like report it after the game. Weird that its taken so long for it to come out. Unless Melbourne officials dobbed him in. Will be a fine at worst if there is no vision of it.

He got fined last week to for the JJ goalpost incident. Has he had any other fines this year? Don't you get an automatic 1 match suspension for your 3rd misdemeanour?

There was definitely a moment maybe in the third? Where Tex and Lewis were close and off screen something happened and Lewis got a free.....

But if a free was paid, that means the umpire saw it but DIDN'T make a report. So if the ump saw it and didn't report him, and there's no footage, then where the hell is the report coming from?

It cant be an oppo offical it has to be viewed by an AFL official only or video reveiwed by an AFL official, bit game day would be umpires only

True..... but why has it taken so long to come out. Surely if he was reported during the game or just after and it wasn't picked up by the telecast/media it comes out in the media yesterday at latest.

Cant ever recall someone being reported on game day and the report not shown on the match review on AFL.com.au surelt there must be video evidence if there is infact a report

So he includes a bit of footage that shows Lewis swinging at Walker, but DOESN'T show Walker swinging at Lewis? If this is all they're going on then it shouldn't even be a report, let alone a fine.

yeah it cuts away before Tex does what he does. He def goes back to Lewis though to retaliate.

Fine at worst.
