Everyone on this list, bar 3 or 4 players are 'tradeable' if the right deal is struck ...
Why is it everyone assumes Walker is going 'to blossom' like Cinderalla and go from an ugly duckling into a swan (from a footy metaphor)
Good player, not great, inconsistent, and with sometimes 'questionable' disposal and lacks football smarts.
On the plus side, has good flexibility and great athletic ability, and lots of untapped potential.
I'd trade him for either a top 5/10 draft pick or a decent young player, but I doubt that would happen, so we're stuck with him.
But don't make the mistake in thinking the club thinks he's 'untouchable', I heard a couple of rumours that the club tried to trade him a couple of years ago...

Carlton are not going to pay a small fortune getting his shoulders sorted just to trade him away
Agree that they will not trade him but even if they were, they still have an obligation to make sure he is as healthy as possible. There are many cases of clubs trading or cutting players after investing years in injury management and treatment

I mentioned this in another thread, but I'm pretty sure Tex was amongst the group that was watching Freo at the G on the weekend.........any chance he could be a huge selection upset and come in this week?
Probably not, but we could do with his pace around the stoppages.
Ratten mentioned in his mid-season review that Walker and I think Warnock have been going to as many games as possible while injured to study the opposition. So highly highly unlikely he will play this week.

Here a thought for all those who insist he has poor decision making etc - why dont we actually play him off a half back flank which is his natural position rather than demand he is a forward or a midfielder for a change?
The kid has had to play a variety if position since joining Carlton and has never had the opportunity to settle into a position let alone play the one position he is comfortable in for any length of time.
I love the way Bower rebounds out of the backline for us but 1AW would make us that much more damaging coming out of defense.

I believe that Walker will slip into our forward line/midfield. I think he is unbelievably damaging, running around kicking goals.

Walks could redefine the term 'forward pressure' with his pace, fitness, hardness and general mania.
I really hope he gets plonked in a forward pocket or flank role where he can use his goal-kicking awesomeness and hide his difficulty with hitting leading targets.

lol. Walker can play back or forward. i personally think he's more suited to the HFF or even Forward Pocket. He's strong over head(for someone his size). very athletic and can kick some really nice goals

Walker has kicked great goals with both feet.
Walker has played down back and in negating roles whilst he developed.
Pagan did use him in those roles for far too long,
Having an attacking wingman and midfielder mind players was pure genius.
