So some years ago, someone at Freo HQ was looking at the clubs that have done it properly over the journey and wondering what we could do to emulate or steal what was being done right.
They looked at Geebung, who over the last 20 years have only been out of the finals a couple of times and who have won as many flags as supposed behemoth West Coast have done in their entire history, and wondered what it was they were getting right so consistently and so well. There's been a couple of Geebung coaches and a couple of CEOs in that 20 years, but one name has been a constant. One bloke has been there, picking the players and crafting the lists that have brought genune sustained success. Drafting guru and list management impresario, Stephen Wells.
An email was dashed off. An email of great urgency and importance. It contained the recipe for success but it also contained a typo.
