Can't help but feel bitter about Fyfe.

Two chances to get Fyfe a final win at home against a full crowd - both result in embarassing losses. Will never forgive this weak club for sending him off like that.

Club didn't deserve him in that 17' - 20' period either. He should still be fit and firing like Dangerfield but we traded his body to stay a middling rabble.

Fyfe is the best Fremantle DOCKER and PLAYER ever.

I wonder how many Pavlich nostalgia fans will still have him #1 when he's celebrating a Sydney Swans premiership with his sons in the same year we have Serong retiring in a Bottom 4 team with no flag to date.
Nah, Pavlich is still number 1 despite everything. Fyfe is easily 2nd though.

You should have stopped typing after your first sentence.

I think it hurt the team that he didn't retire at the same time as Sonny and the club idealistically played him, despite knowing he couldn't run out a full game, to get that "fairytale" finish. Not saying any of this detracts from his overall legacy and most of the blame lies with the club for gifting him games out of sentimentality.

Anyway, go well legend. Those break out years in 2011-2013 were my favourite in my time following the club.

Just want to say what a pleasure it has been to watch Nat over his journey. From a small wheat belt town, he developed into a brilliant and brave footballer who was just a joy to watch.
Plus, a no more humble and loyal champion is to be had.
Wishing him a safe and happy retirement, with plenty of enjoyable surfing times ahead.
Thank you Nat Fyfe.

Fyfe has been my favourite player for a long time so watching him wind back the clock one last time to take a big contested mark was special.

Edit: Also, why the **** was Fyfe on the bench for the dying minutes of the 4th?

I asked the same question. He was instrumental in pulling things back our way then off he went

My all-time favourite player that I have seen live. I’ve gone along to watch so many neutral matches in Melbourne where Freo was playing just to be entertained.

Frighteningly good at his peak. I’ll miss him.
