Roo himself said that toughness is at the ball, and then said that we dont have anyone that worrys them in that area. Im more than confident in guys like Wanganeen, Cornesx2, Primus, Tredrea, Francou, James, Brogan, Lade, Wilson to win the hard ball as theyve proven many many times in the past. Shattock so far hasnt been afraid to take a backwards step and I havent seen Pettigrew take a backwards step either. Sure we lack the c*** factor but to say we lack tough ball players is plain wrong.

it doesn't seem to me that he's intimating anything about Port's toughness at the ball at all. It appears to me that some toerag journalist has asked what will happen if it gets willing and he has said that they will go hard at the ball and besides there's no one too tough that we have to worry about ie: in the physical sense if it did get willing. You should know that journos will do anything to try and get some sort of aggro going after the Ramsgate sold so many papers and made every news bulletin on TV.

I think players of both sides would take limited notice of this type of garbage anyway. May the best Crows team win

We're secrectly trying to lure Earl Spalding out of retirement.

Seriously though, the Carey gamble was worth taking. The problem is we got bent over by the Roos with what we had to give up for him, god knows why we didn't play hard ball on that deal. He still played some very good footy for us, and it's only in hindsight that it might seem a mistake. Hardly a hack.
