Forgot how it feels to leave a football game with not only a win but a knowledge that the win came from a decent honest crack.

The boys were fantastic, their belief in themselves couldnt be questioned at all.

I love our backline, young, inexperienced, rejects from other clubs.... they are so committed! Last night when the ball was n our forward pocket the Teagues, Thorntons, Bowyers still had a touch on their opponents...inspirational.

Great game, great win!

Impressed with the spirit, shown by the blues to answer any chellenge that the hawks put up. Was good to see, kouta get through the game, and having played a serviceable game..... welcome back kouts.

Also impressed with the hawks toughness and attitude. Proves one thing, the depth at hawthorn is average at best when compared to the rest of the league, but sh1ts all over ours, we should have won that game by a country mile, hawthorn was so undermanned that, had it been any other team, they would have been thrashed. Suppose we can only beat what they put on the field, and we did that so well done.

Here's some logic for you:

a) You have no rights on this board. This is our turf.

b) We still got the 4 points regardless. And we'll take that.

c) You're 16th - and even if you won you'd still be there.

d) A win is a win - no matter who you play. It is still worth the same amout of points and still worth the signifigance of moving up ahead of other teams.

e) I'd rather play Hawthorn again than a Brisbane, or an Essendon. Even an Adelaide.

f) Go f a r k yourself.

mate their intencity would have challenged most sides ....

they played better than they did against many sides, eg crows when they had all their fit players out their ....

i think u must agree pagan has been able to get the best out of our boys this year!!! LOL ... I know u wont agree, but the way he is calm in the coaches box, and is able to keep our effort up there when we are challenged has been impressive.

All supporters are welcome. We encourage their input - however if you disrespect us or hang **** on our club on this board then a) is valid. Having no rights does not equate to "you're not allowed here".

Exactly the same if I went on the Hawthron board and starting posting crap. I wouldn't be painted in a postive light if I did that.

i think you'd agree that pagan game plan of having 16 men run iside defensive 50, and the storm back into the attacking 50 was taxing, and had it not been for fevola kicking so acurately, the hawks would have over run us. The kicked more goals the us in the second half of the game. we sould be happy we walked away with the 4 pts, buttheres no need to go over board, like i saw the "grand admiral" post all the predictions that calton would lose last night. Made me feel ashamed that i support a club, that he supports. Remmember the name of that thread, cause "things have a way of coming back and biting you on the A$$".

i must admit rocket was critical of our defence last night ... when we had 8 men inside defensive 50 in first qtr we were able to run in out quite easily. but when they manned up our defenders it gave them more options inside forward 50. the only criticism i have was in 3rd qtr when they came back to have beasy in the ruck, when he was getting killed was stupid. also they said we were all going gor spoils and no one was on deck to mop up. these things are due to we have a young backline, and need to get experience to work as a team more.

but in saying that, had the hawkes not kicked so accurately they may not have come back into the game. fev is a brilliant kick, where thompson is shaeky and he kicked some inspirational goals as well.

im rapped with the win ... i said all along it was a danger game with the hawkes being so fired up ... we were lucky to get away with the win, i am very mindful of that, dont worry.

i think on their performance last night the hawkes would have challenged most teams outside the 8. it was a huge improvement on their performance against the crows. they need to be commended for that.

He's trying to take away our enjoyment of a win, regardless of beating an undermanned team. Fact is we haven't had much to celebrate over the past couple of years. Then this guy comes in and tries to ruin it for us? The rolleyes shows me that he is not showing us any respect. And he will get some back.

If you don't like it, good riddance. We welcome supporters who want to discuss the game with disrespect or crude insults. We get plenty of opposition supporters who come in and have their say. And we don't flame them because they respect that this is a Carlton board and don't hang any **** on our club when it's unwarranted. And we do encourage discussion - but not posters like Hawk_2004 who waltz in here to place in some cheap shots.

If I did the same thing at Hawks Headquarters, I'd get exactly the same reception. But I'm not an idiot, nor a troll. So once again Hawk_2004, if you don't like the reception of your cheap shots - get f a r k e d.

This is a Carlton board, and just like any other board, there will be supporters who tip large margins. Just like Hawk Headquarters, though I don't count them as cheap shots do I?

Tipping a large margin is not a cheap shot - considering that most people thought the margin would be over 50 anyway. But to Hawthorn's credit it wasn't. However, discrediting our win on our board is a cheap shot. That's a form of disrespect... to Carlton. This is not a Hawthorn board, it's a Carlton board. I certainly wouldn't say what you did at HHQ. Do it all you want on the main board, but on the team boards, we don't let this crap happen.

Whose head is up their rear end? If you don't like it, tough bikkies. Them's the rules. And the most interesting thing is that no other opposition supporter has been in trouble on this board but yourself.

i only abused him cos he's been trying to downplay our win on both the main board, and on here ...

I rate this win more than the one against the Crows, only because of the 4 qtr effort, the belief, the team performance. The fact that it was against a struggling 16th team isnt relevant, if we had of lost by the same margin I still would be proud of their effort...but glad we won it.

well i hope the mods see this the proper way, cos hawk_2004 did nothing wrong with his original post, he posted a rollseye which can be constituted any number of ways, he didn't say anything bad about your club, he didn't say anything good (first post i am talking about here), you can't honestly tell me he has done anything wrong with his first post. After that one of your supporters abused him, then he abused him back, i don't condom either action, but the blame should go on your supporter first.

Pretty funny this now BlueBoy83 is on our board dedicating a thread just for him and abusing him.

Discrediting our win - taking that enjoyment away and in turn causng friction does constitute to a snipe.

He showed disrespect towards our club with that post. And his comment caused rubbish posts from both parties. That's the issue here. He is taking the enjoyment from our win from our board. You can bag Carlton all you want on the Hawthorn board - just not here. And vice versa - why do you care if Hawthorn gets criticised here? This isn't the Hawhton board. Many people give crap about us on other teams' boards, but I don't go out on a full on crusade because they can do whatever they want on their boards. And I respect that.

Every team is fair game on every board bar their own. This is what you should take into account.
