Someone explain to me what Switta and Freddy bring to the team? Freddy is absolute dog shit in general play. I have been saying for 3 ****ing years that for someone who is supposedly fast he does not chase or tackle nor does he offer any forward pressure. There is no reason at all for him to be in the team. Oh, he has a good game once every 3 months, huh? Whoop-dee-****ing-do. If he can't impact more then he needs to ****ing go. Hell, put my short fat arse out there and I'll give more ****ing effort than him. Switta's injuries have killed what little impact he used to have. Runs around doing nothing. Can't run. Can't tackle. Can't get the ball. I'm struggling to think of one positive that he brings. Hell, I'll settle for something neutral. Ras gets dropped every time he comes in despite having more impact in one game than those 2 do in a month. Hell, chuck Sharp into the useless squib category as well. I can't think of one good game he has had in the time he has been at the club.

The midfield really need to have a good hard long look at themselves. We know Serong is going to get tagged so why is nobody putting their hand up to ****ing lead by example and take up the slack? One center bounce the midfield was Brayshaw, Bolton, and Johnson. Who in their right mind actually thought that trio would win the clearance?

The coach has to go. Any JL apologists left can go and get ****ed. The only way he stays is if the club are going to continue to accept mediocrity like they have for most of the clubs existence. This list is too good to be in this position but they won't get out of it until he ****s off and we get in a competent coach that can play modern football.

Collingwood are going to beat us by 20 goals next week and we know nothing will change.

Why is it so hard for people to figure out that Freo were only good under JL's tenure when Josh Carr was with the club? 2022 was all him, he propped up JL and we all seemed to think JL was a tactical genius when it wasn't him at all. We've also lost other good assistants who made him look better.

I was literally told by JL's personal assistant (who recently resigned) that JL is the dumbest coach she's worked alongside. He doesn't have a Plan B or change things up because he has NFI. All the players love him because he's a 'relationships coach'. I don't give a **** anymore in hiding that knowledge because this spanner absolutely has to go. Nice bloke but is not coach material whatsoever.

6-years of this? With a promising strong list? Against a subpar Saints side with a coach we sacked 6 years ago for this bloke? It's like getting your pants pulled down by a bully in front of the girl you like at highschool.

Ffs Lyon was gone for far less than this.

I actually think these lax games are a direct reflection of JLo’s personality and coaching style.
His relaxed and often soppish demeanour is rubbing off on the players.
I acknowledge that the leadership group has a lot of influence on the field, I still feel like the players dont always give that extra 2/3 percent that’s needed at this level because JLo truly doesn’t demand it, and the players subliminally know this.
Add that to poor game day coaching / messaging and wullah, this is the result.

You're spot on. This has been my feeling as well. The personality of the team is shaped by the coach in many ways. Under Ross we were hardnosed and uncompromising, whereas JL's personality is awkward and indecisive.

It's an accurate reflection of how we play our football at the moment.

The whole team was utter garbage tonight - Pearce did some good things - but I don't think he has the mental toughness to be Captain. Jlo and he seem meek and placid... That may work in some environments but look how the Saints player responded after copping a cook from Ross during the week?

Someone said we've gone backwards since losing Carr and Boyd - Agreed! Because those guys have both tasted Premiership success! We need to bring some hardened former players in that know what winning is about especially on the dance

Switta is done, that much I totally agree with. Freddy plays well when the midfield is on top. He does very little defensively, but is still a best 22 player if the team (as a whole) are playing well. It's a round about way of saying he's a cream on the cake kind of guy.

Sorry Gaskin, I want to harp on this point. I bet you they don't, I bet you their pressure isn't half as good as the Saints today. I bet we play some brilliant football for a decent part of the game and its a close loss or even maybe they don't turn up (they are due for an off game) and we scrape over. Team is capable of some good footy and Pies won't give too many shits about stopping our game, just playing theirs.

But it is ****ing irrelevant. The team can not cope under pressure, results are now completely ****ing meaningless as even if we ever fluked our way to enough consistency to make finals, they aren't sniffing anything that looks like success because they clearly can not deal with what is almost universal in big games, PRESSURE.
