I pay $100 for a Melbourne Concession Membership.

What value for money am I getting by watching 1 pathetic (Cats), 1 unacceptable (Demons) and 1 pissant (Saints) “effort?”

It’s easy for people in Perth…least you get to see some wins.

I had to spend $1400 (Gather Round) just to see a win in person.

As to tonight…sue me for what I’m about to say

Our midfield is mentally the softest in the AFL.

We have a midfield of downhill skiers who look like millionaires when the game is on our terms but when it’s not…disappear faster than commonsense disappears from me.

We got murdered in the clearances ALL NIGHT LONG.

Everytime the ball spilled to ground, where were our players?

JOGGING ALONG LIKE IT WAS A SUNDAY STROLL!

There was barely any leadership out there tonight and our defence made ****ing Cooper Sharman look like a $750k footballer…**** THAT!

Call this a melt or whatever but I am beyond fed up.

How does it happen straight away after Melbourne.

It doesn’t help with Darcy ineffective for two seasons now. It doesn’t help that Fyfe hasn’t been replaced.

We literally take a mark and hold. Then you can see the Saints players 50m away come from off screen to impact the dump kick. Create an outnumber.

Many saying Pearce played well. He is an absolutely liability with ball in hand. Just because he doesn’t turn it over with a dangerous kick doesn’t make him effective. He can only go long down the line and they picked off his kicks with ease.

We’re actually really so shit.

I’m just at a large loss with that game.

Why is it so hard for people to figure out that Freo were only good under JL's tenure when Josh Carr was with the club? 2022 was all him, he propped up JL and we all seemed to think JL was a tactical genius when it wasn't him at all. We've also lost other good assistants who made him look better.

I was literally told by JL's personal assistant (who recently resigned) that JL is the dumbest coach she's worked alongside. He doesn't have a Plan B or change things up because he has NFI. All the players love him because he's a 'relationships coach'. I don't give a **** anymore in hiding that knowledge because this spanner absolutely has to go. Nice bloke but is not coach material whatsoever.

6-years of this? With a promising strong list? Against a subpar Saints side with a coach we sacked 6 years ago for this bloke? It's like getting your pants pulled down by a bully in front of the girl you like at highschool.

Ffs Lyon was gone for far less than this.

Get him gone immediately.

Playing Dudley Reid and Switkowsi doesn’t help either.
Dudley was immense pressure all night, no one else went with him.
Reid is only 8 games in.

If the coaches were going to play Jackson in the middle, which 100% believe they should, now that Young is out, then Voss Treacy and Amiss with Bolton, Reid, Dudley and Frederick is enough.

Chicago. I don’t usually watch the games live since they’re on in the middle of the night. But it was on at 4:40am my time and I was hopeful to watch a good game where we ultimately triumphed.

Boy, was I an idiot…

Hey at least you get to watch the Cubs, having a decent season they are, and geez that city is an awesome place to be outside and watch baseball...

Sorry Gaskin, I want to harp on this point. I bet you they don't, I bet you their pressure isn't half as good as the Saints today. I bet we play some brilliant football for a decent part of the game and its a close loss or even maybe they don't turn up (they are due for an off game) and we scrape over. Team is capable of some good footy and Pies won't give too many shits about stopping our game, just playing theirs.

But it is ****ing irrelevant. The team can not cope under pressure, results are now completely ****ing meaningless as even if we ever fluked our way to enough consistency to make finals, they aren't sniffing anything that looks like success because they clearly can not deal with what is almost universal in big games, PRESSURE.

I agree Collingwood won't roll us like tonight but they'll still end up doing what's required to get the 4 pts. We'll (probably) come out breathing fire. We might even take a small lead intro quarter time after having thrown everything at them...but they'll absorb the pressure then outclass over the course of the game as like a good team should.

It's exactly what we should have done tonight, but this coach and playing group are consistently unable to overcome opponents who want to play dirty and turn games into a proper slugfest.

I'd also contend that our propensity to wilt under pressure is badly exacerbated by the handball happy game out of congestion.

I think this game has broken me.

Never felt so flat after a loss. I really wanted to believe we'd bring it. But when push comes to shove it's the same pathetic performances. Coaches change, players change but this club...I swear it's cursed.

There's been about 20 games in 30 years where being a Fremantle supporter has been embarrassing. Tonight was one.
