Unlucky not to be a premiership player big Ronny.
Yep, was a favorite. But I'd still have him behind Ronnie Wearmouth.

Was he playing for West Coast?
Sure were, another one that got away.I think we were top of the ladder in 1992 round 20. Could’ve won another flag.
I was referring to the 92 elim when Harvey was best on ground and Ronnie kicked 5

Melbourne rolled us at Vic Park when Jakovich kicked about 7.8 agst Gayfer. Knocked us to 3rd on percentage despite winning 16/6 for the year and instead of having double chance in top 6 format, we got knocked out. From memory a dubious free when against us as Daics kicked a social club special agst Melb, which would have had us in front, and they then kicked a sealer at the other end. From memory a young David Schwarz also played well.
In a year when we beat WB, Geel and WCE. Hawks as always and Saints gave us trouble (lost to both twice). Won so many close ones that year, plus lost to Fitz at PP and Saints by a pt. Ultimately had a few too many injuries and struggled up forward as Daics form was on the wane. As it turned out, he played 5 games in 93, bagged 8 agst Geelong at Vic Park (Ablett 7) in his last great game and did 3 knees (medial / cartilages from memory). Literally limped to his 250th and final game in about R15 agst Swans at Vic Park.
