Does this Frank Anderson bloke play inside or outside mid? Looks like he has plenty of upside but only if we can use him on the wing.

For some reason the name Frank seems wrong for a footballer unless pre 2nd world war

So, we have pick 2 on Monday. Praying we take a 18/19 year old instead of a mature aged from the VFL... we don't need another Wagner or Lockhart on our list.

Not that I know anything other than what websites are publishing - but Hirst and Dunkley look like early picks. Hirst probably fits out needs more (outside pace) but it depends on who Carlton grab. Hanrahan is another outside user which we need, while Riordian also be good (inside, but quick on the burst from packs).

Almost certain we take some 24 year old inside midfielder who's known for his competitiveness

Yep, people getting excited about these players that will most likely not play a game and will be behind players like Corey Wagner are kidding themselves
The hype around it is so weird. If that Lowson fella really is roving packs and kicking goals then I'm happy to have him on board, but otherwise you're just handing a short contract to a guy to play for your VFL team instead of another one.

I'm excited when it's youth and they might be a late bloomer. Fritsch, while down on form at the moment, is a classic example.

We've lost a chance to develop Nietzsche for a year so I'm happy to get another kid we can put time into. Comes from a good pedigree too.

Says a bit about the thoughts on the talent on offer that several clubs didn't even bother dipping into the barrel to get a free look at a player for the rest of the season.

I guess that money adds up. $75k if you delist him at years end so no point picking up someone who probably wont play if you have a decently healthy list. Funny how we gonna get all our players back now so dont need extra bodies

The drafting of Keilty, Bull Smith, Fritsch, CWags + Lockhart is an interesting one.

On the one hand, great for culture and to reward performance for Casey.

On the other hand, approx. 10% of our list comes from our affiliate. Is our scouting not good enough?

How many of those guys did we suggest Casey recruit so we could have a look at them in our structures. Wagner definitely was, Lockhart appears to have been another.
