At the time there were people who said he was only picked up because of his name and we were wasting a decent pick in an amazing draft on a kid who didn't even go through the junior pathways. Turned out ok I guess.

Not one of them has missed selection in a single match yet either.

Judd was marked down because of his shoulder injuries but take those away and most would have had him at 1. Ball was brilliant in his first 3 years until OP cut him down.

It is an incredible draft, yet there was still lots of talent that was drafted early (Polak, Xavier Clarke, Sampi) that didn't reach their full potential due to injury or personal reasons.
