Can't believe I'm actually supporting FCUM at this stage.

Just one more round to navigate, hope they get one of the lower teams.

Brighton or Woking.

Are you ready for this And Smith Must Score?
Assuming Brighton get through you couldn't have got a worse draw. The top team from the top division represented at this stage of the competition!

Anyway, here's the full draw. Apologies for not posting it straight away. Sorry to everybody, and thank you for your continued interest in this fine competition. :)

For the second consecutive round we've drawn League Two opposition at home so no excuses from me if we fail to progress.

AFCW v MKDons if it happens will be huge. Don't reckon there'd be too many MK fans keen on heading to Kingsmeadow, could be a bit of a hot reception.

And so it should be. I know it's not the players' fault, but what happened to that club was absolutely despicable and should never be forgotten.

It's one of those things I love about the Cup.

When we were drawn to play Portsmouth in the league it's all so delicately handled with midday kickoffs and pub closures all over the city.

Then you have ta Cup draw, like what happened between Birmingham and Villa recently, where they have to play midweek and all plans are thrown out the window.

For what it's worth I was interested in the reaction of AFC Wimbledon who were quite forthright in their opinion that they didn't want to play MK. I would have thought they would relish the chance to play them but it's not the case at all.

I get the feeling that AFC Wimbledon didn't want to play them until they were at the same level so they had a strong chance of beating them. Still, I would fancy them at Kingsmeadow, if they can't get up for this game, they'll never be up for a game.

In regards to Wimbledon not wanting to play MK Dons it's more the case that they don't want to recognise the plastic club that is MK Dons. They see themselves as the one and only Wimbledon and that's the way it should be. Like what was said on the guardian podcast, the movement of the club wasa failure so hopefully we'll never see it again. Oh and the FA have never been made taken to task about letting this go through in 2004 or whenever it was too.

That's the thing. Most of us neutrals, at least those of us who care, would want AFC to tear Bastard Franchise Scum a new one to humiliate them and teach them a lesson. But for the Wimbledon fans it goes deeper than that, it's about the fact that Bastard Franchise Scum even exist.

The AFC board have talked about what to do should the tie eventuate, and seriously considered boycotting it but decided in the end they would honour it, as the repercussions could be horrendous and they wouldn't want to be shafted yet again by Franchise. I imagine it'd take place behind closed doors or something, possibly with a blanket media ban as well.

If any good has come of the MK Dons atrocity, it's been the fact that it was an abject failure, and surely please God no-one would be stupid enough to try it again. But that's no comfort to Wimbledon fans.

(yes Bojangles, I listen to the Guardipod too... good isn't it?)

At least the scum handed the trophies back to Merton as MK Dons should never of taken them with them. Plastic club with plastic fans that I hope get twatted especially if they come up against AFC.

To be fair to MK Dons they do have a reasonably sized supporter base. They averaged over 10k to their games last season which is quite acceptable in League One. It's pretty clear that the town of Milton Keynes with a population of over 200k should have a professional team in the football league. Sadly the manner in which it came about was disappointing and it's something they'll never be able to separate themselves from.

The reason Milton Keynes with its population of 200K didn't have a football league team is because Milton Keynes is a pretty ersatz kind of place to start with. It doesn't have the traditions or sense of place that other comparably sized English towns do - remember most of the English football clubs grew from labour organisations or church groups in the late 19th century.

Yep, that's fair enough. A bit like Caroline Springs in Melbourne. :)

Having said that if Wigan can have a premier league team surely they deserve a team in the football league!

My last post was only in reference to plastic fans comment. I know it's dangerous even playing devils advocate when it comes to this issue but I just was wondering aloud how much blame the people of Milton Keynes should bear. They are only following their local team. Plastic fans are the ones who live outside of the major cities and support the big premier league clubs. ;)

Woking just equalised vs B&HA, reminds me of the time i went to Woking for a friendly match about 10 years ago, sent 2 hours looking for the ground and the game was so bad i actually nodded off and only awoke when a goal was scored, i jumped up thinking it was Pompey scoring, it wasn't, Woking won 1-0 that, disliked them ever since.

We were lucky to get through then. Was hoping we wouldn't so we could concentrate on the league.

Still it meant I got to watch the team for the second time this year which is a rarity for a lower league clubs fans.
