Conca to Richmond pick 6?
Would love to get some late mail that the Tiges are eyeing Lynch if Polec goes early.

Conca to Richmond pick 6?
Media in the west saying West Coast are interested in Kirk Ugle for pick 26/29
Late mail from Bunbury is to stay clear but not because of his footy ability!!I"ve heard that both Collingwood and the Bulldogs are interested in Kirk.
Lycett according to Daffy - http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/105134/default.aspxIf Rendell is then true to his word and geelong go as is expected who do port choose. Gorringe or Lycett.

I don't know how many times Rendell has to say, we won't be picking up a ruckman!

Haha, thanks for doing the work for me.Just because you've got Maric, Jacobs, Moran, Tippett, Sellar, McKernan and Craig, what makes you think you won't take a ruckman?![]()
Gold Coast won't take a young ruckman. Bookmark it. They are loaded with good young ruckman (Smith, Dixon, Thompson and that new one they just signed from QLD) and one of the best in the land at that - Zac Smith (205cm, 100kg), who would be ahead of Lycett et al in this draft. As with all things Gold Coast they got him for free as he's a queenslander. They also have Josh Fraser so thats 5 ruckman on the list.
They need a good KPF or two given they lost Alex Keath in particular. They will take Day, Lynch and a key defender IMO.
That ruckman they signed a few weeks ago was Tom Hickey. He was ranked second behind Gorringe in the Draft Combine for all results. Son of a rugby legend and a handy 202cm. They are absolutely loaded for ruck talent.
Hope Conca doesn't go before 20 though![]()
The first 6 is basically known, it is who goes where (Polec, Heppell and Gaff will go at picks 4-6). But after that who knows. No-one knows wther Gold Coast will even bother taking a ruckman or a tall forward.
I think its pretty well locked away TBH. The top 4 are locked i reckon. Polec and Heppell will go 5 and 6 just unknown on what order. Caddy will go to the GC at pick 7. Essendon have the most unknown of the top 10 picks. Could be Prestia, Gorringe or Atley. If GC take Caddy at 7 than a KPF (Lynch) and ruck (Gorringe) will be the next picks for them. Essendon the only real unknown.
1. Swallow
2. Bennell
3. Day
4. Gaff
5. Polec
6. Heppell
7. Caddy
8. Atley
9.Gorringe
10. Lynch
GC will be just looking to get a bit of everything with picks 7,9,10,11,13. Caddy (inside mid), Gorringe (Ruck), Lynch (KPF), 11: Smedts or Tape (HBF/Utility type), Pitt (Outside mid).
Dixon isn't a ruckman. Smith will be a star but Thompson and Hickey are anything but certainties to be solid AFL players.
Rumours were rife the AFL's new club was after the former Power big-man, but football manager Marcus Ashcroft said its ruck void had been filled by Collingwood's Josh Fraser. ``We were interested in him (Giles) in the process of finding a mature-age ruckman for our young group,'' Ashcroft said. ``Jonathan (Giles), (David) Hale, (Will) Minson and Fraser were all thrown up and we went with Josh.
``The idea was to recruit a mature-age ruckman who'd been in the system for a while.'' Ashcroft said it was now unlikely the Gold Coast would need Giles to bolster its ruck stocks.
Can anyone see Melbourne taking Gorringe or Lycett? Could be the final piece to the puzzle IMO.
Wouldn't Watts & Lynch be similar players?
