That's interesting. In Australia if anything the jerseys are too small rather then too big.

I'm just a slip of a boy, though, sf. :)

Hi Moto

Here in Aust. one can buy jerseys at home games (prob. at some away games as well..) At AAMI in Melbourne we have 2 merchandise stores where they sell jerseys and lots of other Storm gear...and also sell jerseys and a few other items for the opposition team.

If you present your membership ticket, you also get 10% off your purchase. Same thing happens at the Family Day and a few other events.

That way you can try it on for size...saves a lot of time mucking around.
Rugby Fever in Richmond are open every day and they sell a whole range of different teams merchandise, including rugby union, soccer/international jerseys etc.

Does that happen in England at home games?

Yes, the grounds have shops (well, all the ones I'be been to do). But Wigan is the best part of 200 miles away, so I won't be going there too often (BTW I take it Aussies generally fly, say from Melbourne to Sydney? It's bit of a haul to drive?). City-centre sports shops wouldn't sell league shirts (well, not in the South of England anyway), just RU and football. Stupidly, I never checked out the shop in Wigan's shiny new stadium when I went up last year for the WCC against the Dragons. If I remember right, I only just made it in time for the kick-off; it was a bit of a rush.

In Sydney, every ground that I have been too not only has lots of jerseys and merchandise of the two teams playing but also every other NRL team, including interstate teams. Sporting stores in Sydney are dominated by NRL merchandise, places like Rebel. I should move there:thumbsu:

That Melbourne Storm trial jumper is THE worst jumper I have seen in any football code. Absolutely terrible.

No way

The chequered POS that Brisbane (Broncos) & Hawthorn wore one year in their respective pre season comps wins that battle.

Really, the only battle is between the two for which was the worse of the two.

I vote for Hawthorn as the worse, I had to watch the entire match as they were playing the Swans:mad:

Looks better then that white and Navy Blue one of last year and before that, wasn't even their colours. I probably would of preferred Maroon pants though.

Regarding the Maroons Shorts - Probably something to do with NRL regulations or something that made them wear yellow, on its own, the jersey looks great, much better than the white/blue from previous years.

I guess we are lucky we don't have to put up with some of the dreadful clash jumpers like AFL clubs do, least most NRL clubs stay traditional and don't plaster giant cartoon animals all over the place

I agree with Cooper. It should of been that heritage jersey they used the other year with the traditional Maori design which was black and grey.
