yeah I don't think he suits City's style of play and I think he's overrated as well. (not that he isn't a very good player)
and who would City drop to accomodate him? Johnson doesn't play because City don't fill that position, he could replace Clichy as a wing back of sorts, especially against weaker teams and at home and he would undoubtedly offer more going forward but Clichy provides defensive solidarity is coming of a very consistent season.

Yeah as far as PL goes it's definitely those two way out in front.
Even in world football I think Kompany is up there with the best.

absolutely. right now i think he's the very best. great tackler, superb positioning and a brilliant leader. wouldnt swap him for any cb in the world.
Not to mention he's good on the ball too.

See, you say this all the time, but that doesn't change the fact that Mancini's a big admirer and if he became available, City would definitely make an attempt to buy him.
If City were to get him, he'd play over Nasri on the left. You can moan that he's less suited to City's style, but that doesn't mean he'd fit in and do well.
You're getting neither of them, quit believing everything you read.
Kompany is brilliant, would kill to get him to Arsenal, but Vidic is better. Probably the main reason utd lost out in the title race.
They're different sorts of defenders. One's a ball playing defender, the other is a no nonsense type. You wouldn't complain with either.

depends how vidic comes back from his serious injury. vidic has the history as the better defender, but kompany has grown to easily equal him at least. interchangeable as 1/2 in the league really.
and i would take bale. play him as a left winger. **** everything, that's ridiculous. when he's on, he is unplayable, no question. hopefully if he does come he can develop the consistency of performing each week.

My opinion isn't tied to the opinion of anyone at City. Personally I wouldn't pay much attention to Mancini talking him up, he talks up other teams players all the time and it doesn't mean anything. Mancini usually goes for more flexible, technically proficient players than Bale so if he was genuinely interested I'd be a bit surprised.
Nasri doesn't play on the left. None of our attacking players have defined roles other than maybe Johnson.

At £6m apiece it shows that you don't have to spend big to get quality.

Completely agree.
Already off to Zenit St Petersburg where he will dominate once again. The fact you think Krasic was dropped because of talent shows how unknowledgable you are. New coach came in and despised him. Doesnt listen in training + smokes and drinks alot (normal behaviour in Russia).

Clubs without managers simply dont sniff around anyone. They have better things to do and players arnt going to poke there head up to a club with no manager IMO.
Diame is all but a Hammer. Providing a late change of heart he will come to us. Agreed wages, had medical and everything. Just hasnt signed. Would be a brilliant bit of business for us. DCM was the biggest area of weakness for us last year and to fill that role for free with a good player is a great start
