Seems like Drogba is off to Shangai Shensua on a two and a half year deal. This is what he is getting apparantly

200k pounds a week
A hospital built in his name in the Ivory Coast
A football academy in his name in the Ivory Coast
And a free 10 million dollar apartment to live in.

Hard to slate him for taking that.

not bad, couple of nice perks in there too.

I resent that, Drogba's clearly moving for his love of Shanghai and capacity to play with such wonderful players as Zhu Junb, who coincidentally happens to be the rare striker/owner/manager combination. On a serious note best of luck to him if the rumours are true, enjoyed watching the quality he brought to the premier league and he should form a lethal combination with his old buddy Anelka (provided Junb doesn't start himself ahead of him).

Anelka now has a teammate he can play this game with

But how many Chinese Virgins?

giroud to be announced an arsenal player after the euros (pending a medical)
Normally I'd say this is bad news, especially since he's a pretty good player, but this likely means van Persie will be leaving, so despite Arsenal making two good signings, they'll get weaker.

well i've seen whispers that we're not after rvp anymore due to how much he wants in comparison to his age, injury record and the price that arsenal want for a player with all those things, so it could be juve or bust for rvp.

A lot of talk saying Modric is off to Real Madrid. Usually it's not pleasing to hear one of our best players being linked elsewhere, but if we can get 25-30m + Nuri Sahin like some outlets are suggesting, I'd be more than happy to see the deal go through.

Sahin and 30 million dollars. You would think Modric is in the top 5 players in the world? I think that might just be a little bit of crazy talk. Mass exodus at Spurs now that HR has gone.

Didier would split them in half. He needs a good Italian girl

LMFAO.

What is it rumoured what he wants? Wouldn't actually mind losing him on a free if it meant we got another great season out of him and consolidated on last seasons performance. Might even sway him to stay if we do well.

Glad to see the back of Drogba.

You're not the only one!

Modric is for the role he plays IMO. He was always second best CM to Cesc though when Cesc was here. Very, very good player.

Who is better, really? Xavi, Cesc....

Chlelsea bid 40m on the final day last summer and since then, his value wouldn't have gone down at all. Sahin on the other hand, has only started twice for Madrid in La Liga due to injury problems and Alonso/Ozil being better options. Providing they sign Modric, Sahin would be surplus to requirements, so there's a very strong possibility of him being involved in a swap with Modric.

and keep dreaming about the Spurs exodus. There's only one player (Modric) who's likely to leave, and even then, we're still so much better than the dippers on paper it's scary.

Let's just see where the summer takes us. Both with new managers, both with new in's and out's. Going to be interesting. I think it's a mistake by Levy to fire HR though.

It's not just that he is a great player but it's his antics which annoy. Ive never seen such a huge, strong and powerful bloke go down so easy and then roll around like a girl. Also, he is still responsible for one of the worst acts of unsportsman like behavior I have ever seen. That being the time he was injured near the sideline, he rolled off the pitch in agony, realised the other team can continue to attack so he rolls injured back onto the pitch to stop play. He's a dog. Great players, but shit bloke. Glad to see the back of him.

Sky reporting Newcastle have apparently big £8m for Luuk de Jong. Looks like one of Ba or Cisse will be going out the door (much more likely Ba).

Considering GB has me on ignore, tell him the game is not played on paper, but on a football field.

Having said that, Spurs still have a better squad. Be interesting to see who Rodgers brings in. Are you guys linked with anybody?

Also just saw that thing about Ba/Cisse. One of them were linked with Gala last week, can't remember which one though.
