Go and Join Chelsea Hazard, a team in decline, they certainly won't be European Champions again for a long time, and they did finish 6th before they fluked the CL title.

Gutted, as again we lose out on signing a top player. Only reason why he chose Chelsea is for financial gain, because we could offer him a position and a permanent spot in the side. Chelsea don't even have a manager ffs, Roman up to his dirty old tricks again.

You didn't even know where he would play at United ffs.

I think we still can compete with them as we can offer assurances of game time. Chelsea are going through a transition phase so Hazard will get the game time he wants at the No.10 position as well as big money.

Not too disappointed we didn't get him as it never really seemed like he would come to us.

Funny that Roman personally drove him though.

Bit baffling they're signing marquee players first before settling on a manager. Appears the style of play will dictate the manager.

Di Matteo is more than likely to get the job IMO. Kinda deserves it after how well he turned Chelsea around.

I'm glad he didn't sign for us. It meant Rooney would've had to give up the #10 shirt! My ebay fake Rooney 10 shirt would've been useless then.

Haha, the ridiculousness of some people is just unbelievable at times.

It appears Saints have agreed to a £6.5million transfer with Burnley for England U-21 striker Jay Rodriguez. Link

With a host of other premier league clubs interested, it remains to be seen whether he will agree to terms or hold out for interest from some of the more established EPL clubs.

If the transfer goes through, Rory Delap will no longer be our record transfer. :thumbsu:

Not sure if serious...

Phew.

You would think that Chelsea are going to throw everything at Guardiola and that may have been put to Hazard.

I can't imagine a top class player signing for a club that really doesn't have a manager signed for next season.

Still no word from Chelsea that they have signed him or even agreed terms with club and player.

Has Hazard mentioned Chelsea by name or just the CL winners comment?

I'd expect a press release over the next few days, Hazard has clearly unofficially indicated that he's agreed to terms and decided to sign for Chelsea. I'm sure an official announcement from the club is gonna take place soon, along with the usual ceremonial rubbish of Hazard in a Chelsea shirt and all that.

Has Hazard got a bird of his own?

JT will welcome her with open arms, I'm sure :p

So Utd fans who do we hope to sign? Knowing that we are willing to pay more then 30mill.

Lucas from Sao Paulo would be interesting but I always have doubts over these superkids from Brazil.

Leighton Baines
Shinji Kagawa
Nick Powell - Won't play first team anyway next season.

So far linked heavily with.

Very happy with the Hazard signing. It shows how important being part of champions league is. This was the main reason I was so nervous in the lead-up to the final. Lose and we would of lost talent and little would of wanted to come possibly leaving us in a situation Liverpool is now.

Good to see we are investing in a strong young team with Hazard, De Bruyne, Lukaku, Piazon, and Macrachen all under 22.

Also I just saw this

I think Kagawa's a cert. Or at least very likely to happen.

If Fabio goes on loan to Benfica (as has been mooted), then another LB would be good, as well as a midfield hardman. Livid that we weren't in for Vidal last summer.
