if pogba refuses to sign a contract because he's not getting game time then juve offer him one, it's hardly stealing, it's poor work from united to keep their young player happy.

Exactly when ferguson keeps on relying on the old guard or weaklings you're bound to lose talent.

it's the exact same situation we had with sturridge. we didnt guarantee him a spot, he left when his contract expired, we got money from it (3.5 mil initially, it's risen now to 6.5 mil due to extra fees). plus if liverpool buy him we receive 15% of the fee, so spend big liverpool, he's a 50 mil player for sure :D

He was promised game time.

He left because Juventus offered much more then us for his wages.

When you put like that then yeah I guess you are right. It's an inflated market. Neither are really worth that much, particularly Downing.

to be fair I rated the Downing signing at the time (although probably 4 or 5 million too dear) - his season for villa was very good.
he'll obviously improve next season but it will always be 4 or 5 million too much regardless.

big wraps on this young fella. arsenal were in for him too but looks like he'll seal a deal with united soon

Get one back after we failed to sign the Ox.

If Schoes didn't come out of retirement, we wouldn't have come close to winning the PL. Pogba is not upto it, YES, he should have played more, but it's pretty clear why SAF kept choosing Scholes and Carrick over him.

He just has to get better. He couldnt possibly be any worse. Of course I hope he comes good as he can be a very good player. But unless he scores 25 goals and has 15 assists next season, that 20 million fee will always be way too much.

I suppose it can never be clear if he never get the opportunity.

We'll see how he goes at Juve and in the next few years. That might answer the question.

I've heard very good things about Giroud, apparently very good with the ball for a tall man and would knock it down to RvP brilliantly.

As bad as Djourou is/was, he kept Drogba in his pocket every time they faced I think. I remember a game at The Emirates he was playing like a man possessed (against Drogba).

8-10m is a good fee as well, we paid 10 for him, would be good recoup what we paid. All we need now is M'Villa, and another CM.
