The 2014 Attendance Thread

Funny comment as I was talking about attendance more than who will win the game.

As was I...

There is probably a reason somewhere why our games against Geelong and Sydney have drawn significantly larger crowds than equivalent games against Richmond (which draw in the same range as Hawthorn-Melbourne)

...and its not a recent trend our games against the Swans were drawing larger crowds in 2007, 2008 and 2009 (our game in 2010 was in the same ballpark and we didn't play the Swans in Melbourne in 2011 and 2012)

Are all these reserves off limits even when these clubs are not playing?
Excluding reserves what is the MCG capacity?
Around 60,000 give or take for the Public Reserve for an AFL Match. I know this changes with each event. Cricket has a smaller AFL reserve and Soccer friendlies or World Cup Qualifiers (WCQ) only have the MCC Reserve taking Public sales to around 78k. I remember MCC mentioning the only way it keeps the MCC Reserve for a WCQ and Friendlies in Soccer is by charging a entrance fee for its memebrs.
