After a full preseason we won't really know who's come on in leaps and bounds and who really is in our best 22 for this year. I think the there are some spots up for grabs and whoever plays well in the NAB cup can secure them. Uber keen for the NAB cup, just under 4 weeks to go!

Russell ready to spread his wings.

The Tasmanian has been placed on a restricted training for much of the pre-season, after undergoing dual hip surgery to reattach a labral from his hip bone.

Russell has revealed for the first time the full extent of the injury, and how it had significantly hampered his performance at the back end of last season.

“I managed to play through it but it did affect me a bit,” he said.

Not looking like Spook will have a good season with such a limited pre-season.

Gold Coast Suns burn with intensity as Matt Shaw says team has shifted in intensity.

He said the shift began at the end of last season. The entire squad had goals to achieve by the time they returned to training in November and, unlike past years, reached them.

"Everyone had goals to meet and mine was to put on some weight and a few of the other boys had to lose a few skinfolds," he recalls.

"Everyone came back and met their goals where years before boys might have come back a few skinfolds over and taken three weeks to get them down. When everyone comes back in tip-top condition, it just helps so much."

Told by the club today that Jesse has been in fine form this summer. The setback he had a couple of weeks ago was fluid behind the knee. After a couple of light days on the track, he's back on track and into the full swing of things.

Thought it was great news.

Fish has gained some serious mass in his shoulders. Looks much broader.
