27K+ Announced on the radio for Mel v GC.

The record round attendance on 371K, is on schedule to be broken IMO after the first 2 games. As long as easter Monday holds up to still be a 75K crowd, i think it will be done.

Nothing like 37k at ANZ today thanks to all the rain.

crowd at the Gabba looks terrific.

15k showed up yesterday to the local derby between Broncos v Titans nrl game. Gabba crowd would easy beat that.

Wow great turnout.
wait until the Lions start winning a few!, they have been a basket case since 2004
people crap on how Brisbane & SE Qld is NRL heart land, that is crap
the Suns are well ahead of the Titans on the gold coast & they haven't even played finals yet
in Brisbane, is full of bandwagon fans. but broncos have been very successful in their time in the NRL. in the Mid 200s the Lions were well ahead of the Broncos

Don't want to get ahead of myself, but next week for tigers and dogs on a Saturday at the G, does anybody know the biggest crowd these two have played in front of?
Tipping just on games that I remember this could break a record considering both winning first round, scheduled for a Saturday afternoon, and it isn't very often doggie supporters get to venture over and play on the hallowed turf!

The record is 68k way back in 1974.

Richmond v Footscray 68,447 way back in 1974

Its the biggest Dogs home and away game of all time...

I was about to say was that a home and away game or a final! But fair enough! Even so I still think that it will be well above what these two have pulled in recent years and hope it pulls 50000!

Great turnout by dees fans. Now if the can start winning more matches you would think they should be able to attract 30-35,000 melbourne fans to all there home games

Steady on.

That said its another example that Saturday Afternoon football, especially early in the season can draw the crowds. An equivalent game was the 34,000 the Dees drew to their round 1 game against the Lions in 2012

Its also clear the Dees potential for crowds is much greater than the Dogs (and for that matter North and probably the Saints)

Agree, if the dees start winning, you can always count on a much fuller mcc, I believe they have the potential to do a port Adelaide in some ways, couple of good years and they could easily get there membership number up to 50000 and lift there attendance average at home quite a bit!

If dees start winning then they will be around the same size as geelong and be a medium size club. Melbourne already draw bigger crowds then the Bulldogs and North.

When the dees start winning the mcc members are pretty much 70% full and 90% full when they play collingwood and essendon
