Not superhuman but young players would play in structures that aren't U11 standard.
You are a new poster who has concetrated almost exclusively on Buckley. If you want to be taken seriously perhaps you should offer something else. Otherwise we will assume you are here to cause mischief.

To Clarkson should not have been sacked for losing Buddy to the largest contract ever offered to an Australian Rules footballer by a club with $1m more to spend than Clarkson's just after his team won the flag and was still poised to challenge strongly. Surely you can see the fundamental differences in circumstances.

If Dangerfield leaves then Adelaide have lost 1 player. Adelaide already got rid of the coach because the players were not on board. At this point it looks like he and the whole side are well and truly on board with the new coach. Time will tell how that pans out.

On the other hand, The Dogs had to get rid of their coach.
We have only lost two players we wanted to keep. Thomas and Beams. You might argue that Buckley was to blame for this but I believe other factors $ and Dad were more compelling. Therefore I see it as no different to Buddy. Buddy would have gone to the highest bidder which was expected to be GWS but the Swans blew them out of the water.

I agree with your point about Sanderson losing the players and it supports my current thinking. From what I have seen Buckley has the players and therefore this is one of the reasons we should keep him. Sacking Buckley when he has the players would be detrimental to the players and the club. However, if he ever loses the players as a group then his time is up.

once you come to terms where the list is at (5th youngest) and you see we were 2nd in tackles in 2014 and the effort last weekend he clearly has the players playing for him. they dont bust their backside for a bloke they dont like/respect.

So buckley needed his hand held while he coaches. Says to me he wasnt ready. Proven he wasnt ready.

Of coarse i believe if u sign a contract u should honour it, worlds changed tho. Your word use to be good enough.

Blaming someone who hasnt been there for 3 1/2 years tho? Cmon, thats an easy cop out.

By the way, u dont need to hav 3 quizical emoticons to make a point, 1 would suffice.
Says the bloke blaming the coach... I mean gameplan.

I'm pretty sure that Gary Pert is the CEO of the Collingwood Football Club with direct responsibility for PR, Revenue and everything in between. Is that the Gary Pert you're referring to?
Pert is a board member as well as CEO. Apart from McMullian, he is the only person on the board with football experience.

The football dept. Head & Buckley directly report to Pert. Learn your organisational structures.

Im at work now, but i will look at it tonight. Im not a hater either, so callin people that is just an easy label to throw out there.
Yep, fair enough, at the end of the day we all just want the club to be successful.
No point explaining the obvious. A lot of these muppets havent experienced lows as a collingwood supporter, they think success is always just around the corner.
Oh, hang on. It's fine to label others that disagree with your opinion as muppets. Play on.

Perhaps poor choice of word, sorry. Unfounded dissenters?
I don't know where I fit into any of the emotive descriptions but all dissenters are unfounded you just don't believe anything they say and dismiss any evidence as meaningless while clinging to any evidence to support your view as definitive and indisputable. I get why people who love the club want to believe and want to defend everything but why would the assumption that those who see fault don't love the club be valid? Fair enough if it is an opposition supporter I assume most posters on here are genuine Collingwood people who care enough to spend time and effort on here.

I think he's referring specifically to those who continually post "sack Bucks" without any semblance of a good reason to do so. If they came up with something believable then there could be some meaningful discussion but instead they just keep coming up with "sack Bucks"

What has Buckley shown coaching wise where he deserves a wait and see approach?

4 years is an adequate timeframe to view his coaching ability.
He is only just starting his 4th season, and 2 out of 3 seasons he has got us to finals, one being to a prelim. I would say that is a fair effort for a rookie coach. Now he is in rebuild mode as that side was no longer good enough to compete with the best, so he should be given at least till the end of this contract to show what he can do with the new breed coming through

Fair enough, not sure I read the whole conversation. I agree, there are more important things to do than scoring points in an internet argument (for the time being).

I wish i could like u, but wayne arnold was such an areshole to kevin. Great show tho.

I just want to let it be known, i dont hate nathan buckley, i was watching him play at port adelaide, hoping , praying that he got to the pies. Loved him as a player, was basically our only shining light in the mid to late 90's. Never hav i said i wanted him sacked during the year either.

I just fear that he is lacking in areas as a coach, and i hav yet to see something to convince me otherwise. Doesnt mean i want our former coach back either, the day he left it was over for him to ever coach collingwood again.

People may say im negative or whatever, but i want this club, MY CLUB to be the best it can be. U may not like my opinion, by all means put me on ignore, but im saying them without any bias and just want the club to succeed and be the best, as we should strive to be.

There, NOW i definately hav to get back to work. Half the days already gone.

I just want to discuss the coaching situation, sick of rehashing 2010 and am happy for legitimate debate and am prepared to accept when evidence is shown to support others views.
Maybe I see thing in too much black and white but two weeks in?
