Thought Otten was decent from the half that I saw.

Shaw seems to have improved. Kicking looks a lot more consistent. Reads the play extremely well and provides so much run. Would give him another shot at AFL.

CEY had a couple of his old style howlers, but really seems to dominate sanfl now. Could come back in to the AFL with ease imo.

Grigg so so imo. Said he wasn't his best so hopefully he builds again as we need his skills.

Kerridge pretty good.

Ramsey looks a brute. Has good skills and brain. Persist with.

Didn't see much of Cheney.

Spencley is a great get for the reserves. Plays at the level of the AFL guys

Spencely surely a shot for a rookie spot somewhere next season?

And has Shaw moved ahead of Cheney?
Shaw certainly applying the pressure for a spot... a few first 22 looking over their shoulder now... and with Campo sending the message to VB last week, its time to perform or play 2nds footy... is Campo entertaining thoughts of leading the crows beyond this year? he has been a rock since the incident - and good luck to him.

So with a drubbing like this, at what point does the call of "unfair playing AFL players in the SANFL" start? It's only Norf, but still. This is exactly what the SANFL purists and naysayers have been waiting for.
As soon as it happens to Norwood, watch the toys come flying out the cot

Why is CEY playing at that level? A waste.
As Campo said, he's played 2 quarters of football in 3 weeks. He needed to get a full game into his legs before being brought back I reckon. Hopefully he's back in next week and hopefully they make VB continue in the SANFL, rather than dumping him and bringing him straight back.

CEY to come straight back in? Kerridge and Grigg very good as well. Also liked Otten's game but he needs a few weeks still.
Depends on tomorrow's result I would've thought! But based purely on SANFL form, there's a lot of players putting their hands up for an AFL selection. Good position to be in.

They shouldn't be competing for the same spot (third tall). If we are thinking of playing Cheney as a third tall then that is really unfair on him because he just gives up too much height to play that role. As a mid range defender he becomes a better fit, his courage can't be questioned so you know he will help out in a marking contest and with Shaws pace it helps out with moving Smith up a bit. If we are playing Hendo back then Cheney replaces him, Shaw though needs to replace one of Lever or Harto ( I know who my choice is) , we need to see him play a month of AFL to see whether we keep him or move him on at years end.

I actually thought Otto got better through the game, geez he looks quick at SANFL level

I'm a big fan of CEY, and keen for him to return. Just wondering about his tackle count? Only one tackle against mediocre opposition. Also like Kerridge and eager to see him back. He had 31 disposals and 6 tackles. I've never played more footy than kick to kick with kids in the street, decades ago. But I think of the tackle count as an indicator of effort and toughness.

Every player does a few shit kicks but back in the first few weeks of the year, CEY kicked the ball into Tex, like a missile at times. Dying to see that again.

the old "don't need to tackle if you're first to the ball"
