Whereas it could also be a Buckley hater who is highlighting that the cultural changes have achieved nothing and there's a core group of 'up to 11' who still couldn't give a shit. Then they can go back to the players who were supposedly moved on due to cultural issues, lament the fact that they are no longer with us and say "see, all for nothing". Who's to blame for all of this? Buckley.
Just because some players are using recreational drugs in the offseason doesn't mean there hasn't been cultural change imo.

What a load of crap that is with the pact lol.

No playing group is ever fully committed to the cause some players go along to get along, but to palm it off on illicit drugs causing the problem is false.

FWIW I'd say it's more likely a Buckley sympathiser putting it out there to put the pressure on the players and take it off the coach.

To me, it screams 'opposition supporter having a laugh at us.'

I was just presenting what certain people could be thinking. I don't necessarily believe that there hasn't been a culture change for the better. There's more to culture than just offield behaviour.

Unfortunately my lack of consideration for that element of the discussion was hurt by my complete disregard for the "cultural change" argument that was peddled. So you're spot on that could well be the case!

Age and games played are facts, but please don't let them interfere with your negative grandstanding and it's ludicrous and laughable agenda. :p
Given the club has chosen to play Moore ahead of White, Maynard over Toovey, Goodyear over Macaffer and Grundy over Cox it is an excuse because we have the option of playing older heads and chose not to.

The injury list aside which is longer than Dustin Martin's rap sheet, those 2 were out of form and there were precious few options to choose from.

And I'm sure other clubs were in the same position but I didn't see them 18th for age.

Excuses! Buckley didn't make any in his brief so maybe he doesn't agree with the age copout either?

Facts, numbers are not open to interpretation, we were the youngest, not up for debate!
I'm not debating the numbers lol. I'm debating whether it should be used to defend a bad performance as Anderson did to counter the heartburn.

Poor football is poor football regardless of age and the club haven't used age as a copout nor has anyone else aside from you and Brett Anderson.

About the response I expected given your attitude :)
It really is tiresome. He is history, can't see the point on reading about his achievements.
No difference if Buckley goes either, although would like him to finish the year. However so much will depend on the next three weeks.
Love it if everyone moves on and just concentrates on Sunday.
Baby steps for now.

Looks like you made the same mistake I did by questioning the relevance of the graph.

Im now pro Buckley, we're young, lets keep getting younger. Hopefully one season we can acquire enough draft picks to have an entire list that debut'd on the same year! Worked so well for GWS and Gold Coast the first few years. When we win everyone can say how exciting we're, when we lose it doesn't matter by how much and how we lost because we're young.

So, we're in the early stages of a rebuild and need to wait another 5 years before judging our progress?
There is a difference between a team stat from a single round and the list overall, but none of us thought we'd be contending before 2017 anyway and it's always ugly on the way up. Go read some posts from 2009 if you don't believe me.

Or go to the Geelong board and look at the first 5 weeks of posts in 2007.

May aswell bump it to 2019 if we miss finals this year. Wonder if Buckley will still have a job by then

Nah I made the mistake of debating with someone using a troll account. Thirty posts in the first day isn't sus at all lol. I'm more curious about which regular has made the account?

Not if you do the math, it starts around 2017 and we'll have quite a few years of window.

In the end there was no other way to do this with 2 start up teams who will have all their players (mostly high draft picks) maturing at the same time, we've done what we needed to do to have a sustained chance.

I don't care if Bucks is there or not when it pays off but he made the right calls and is the consummate professional.

You asked a question about posters anti MM starting debates about him. I answered it, you didn't acknowledge my answer and you're now sitting back going "yawn" and saying it's tiresome! Seriously you engaged others in the discussion...

Think you may have gone a bit further than that and at that point it became a 'yawn'!
