Viv and Garland weren't any good.
Colin Garland: Colin had 14 disposals, six inside 50s and three tackles. He was strong in some situations where he was able to come off and influence the ball in the air. Like a lot of our players on the day, there were some inconsistencies around the contest where we probably needed Colin to be a bit better but that was a reflection of our whole team across the day.

Viv Michie: Viv had 25 possessions, 14 of which were contested, 10 clearances and had four tackles so he was a pretty good servant on the day. Like I said, those midfielders were going to get a lot opportunity because of the way the game was played but he did some pretty classy things at times in the conditions. I thought he was one of our better players on the day but to get the best out of him and a lot of our guys, we’d want the conditions to be a bit better.

No, but he played on reduced time (think it was about 60-70%.
This makes me a little annoyed. I don't get why someone who's suffered 2 concussions with ongoing symptoms for a month or so would play without headgear. Obviously not a doctor but seems like common sense to me. Cheers for the info though.

Headgear actually does next to nothing against concussion. The brain bounces about inside the skull causing the concussion m

What Striker said, the helmet does next to nothing

Needs an operation to install framework inside the skull to lock the brain in place.

F*** I should have been a Doctor.

I see. But surely it lessens the impact slightly thus lessening the brain bounce? You're probably right, i know nothing on this topic, i'm just worried for Angus since we've all seen his potential and i'd hate to see such a promising career cut short because of all these head knocks.

??? If I was gonna clash heads with someone Id certainly want to have a helmet on

Have you seen or felt the helmets? They are more likely to stop you needing stitches than getting a concussion
It's the whiplash and movement of your head not the actual impact necessarily

Nope. They're looking at impact tech in the latest generation of American football helmets. Problem is what we know works is what works in cars i.e. crumple zones.
